The iProbe is an intelligent temperature sensor that can be calibrated independently of SBIR’s blackbody systems or 104i precision thermometers. These ultra-stable, highly responsive iProbes are used to provide long term accuracy and repeatability of under 0.010°C. Each iProbe incorporates onboard flash memory that allows all calibration constants and calibration date information to be stored independently of the blackbody or thermometer system. This allows iProbes to be exchanged for use on a blackbody or thermometer without any loss in stability or accuracy. To re-calibrate a system you need only exchange the current iProbe with a recently calibrated one. No special equipment is required and there is no down time in the test area.

The 40-735 data communications multiplexer is designed for switching the data lines of serial interfaces (RS232, USB). Careful attention to the design of the module ensures that the switching system minimizes its impact on the transmission distance of USB1.1 interfaces. The MUX is available in 36:1 or 18:1 formats and enables a single source of serial data to be switched to one of 36 or 18 devices under test. This allows the data source to load information to, or receive information from, the device under test. The 36:1 version can be software configured into two independent 18 way MUXs enabling two separate sources of serial data to be connected to separate banks of 18 devices. The module is ideal for performing bulk testing of any device that relies on a serial data communications port to load software or control the device operation. It can also be used for a variety of other applications where ever a 2-pole low power MUX is required.

The XR-100CR is a new high performance x-ray detector, preamplifier, and cooler system using a thermoelectrically cooled Si-PIN photodiode as an xray detector. Also mounted on the 2-stage cooler are the input FET and a novel feedback circuit. These components are kept at approximately -55 °C, and are monitored by an internal temperature sensor. The hermetic TO-8 package of the detector has a light tight, vacuum tight thin Beryllium window to enable soft xray detection. The XR-100T-CdTe represents a breakthrough in xray detector technology by providing “off-the-shelf” performance previously available only from expensive cryogenically cooled systems. The XR-100-CdTe is also suited for measuring gamma rays.

The dual flexure design makes them very rugged and insensitive to vibrations, which permits higher frequency operation.They come standard with Epsilon’s quick attach kit, making it possible to mount the extensometer on the test specimen quickly and easily with one hand. The quick attach kit can be removed, allowing mounting of the extensometer with springs or rubber bands.The Model 3542 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics.
