There are many low cost artificial light sources used for illumination or for industrial applications: tungsten or halogen bulbs, fluorescent lamps, LED lamps etc. Some of these sources have regulated intensity of emitted light. However, there very few calibrated light sources of precisely known parameters. A light source can be considered as calibrated when its user can precisely regulate its photometric/radiometric parameters like luminance (or illuminance), radiance (or irradiance) at defined spectrum of interest. Such light sources are needed in many applications among them, in systems for testing night vision devices, VIS-NIR cameras and SWIR imagers. The AQUATek LVA is a full automation solution for routine analysis of waters by purge and trap concentration. It utilizes a fixed volume loop that is filled with liquid sample, internal and/or surrogate standards are added, and then the sample is transferred to the Lumin or Stratum PTC. Upon completion of the purge step by the concentrator, the AQUATek LVA then initiates a clean up cycle where the sample loop and concentrator sparger are cleaned with 90o C water via the two-stage water heater.

It is a device to perform spatial integration of flux optically, thus the total luminous flux can be measured with one fixed photometer head and measurement can be instant. An integrating sphere photometer is calibrated with a total luminous flux standard lamp. A test light source is measured by comparison to a standard lamp calibrated for total luminous flux.

The integrating sphere is used for total luminous flux measurement. It uniforms the light by spatially integrating the collected light of light source. The integrating sphere has highly reflective diffusing plates formed on the spheres internal surfaces. These plates repeatedly scatter light rays from the light source with in the sphere to all other points to deliver uniform brightness distribution so measuring a portion of that light gives the total luminous flux. These years, the usage of integrating sphere for total luminous flux evaluation of light source is increasing. The large size integrating sphere over 1.5M is required for measuring a high brightness light source and a long light source such as fluorescent light.
