These converters support up to 255 fiber nodes, and each fiber node can extend the RS232 / RS422 / RS485's distance to 3 miles (5km) for multi-mode converters and cables, or 25 miles (40km) for single-mode converters and cables. Depending on the site situation, these multi-drop fiber optic converters can be configured as a daisy-chain or a self-healing redundant ring fiber network. When configured as a ring fiber network, the built-in self-healing feature allows the data to be transmitted clockwise or counterclockwise; therefore, failure of any individual converter will not affect other devices located on the same fiber ring, making the entire data network more robust and reliable. These multi-drop fiber optic converters have been designed for harsh industrial environments and withstand a wide temperature of -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C), and they come with the options of multi-mode and single-mode, and ST, SC, and FC connectors.

The Validyne model SI314 is a network interface that connects our model P61 USB pressure Transducer to your smart phone or network web browser. The SI314 supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections and will display current pressure readings and transducer status on any web browser or via smart phone. The SI314 also displays the transducer temperature, date of calibration, model and serial numbers and these can be viewed wirelessly or by Ethernet connection. The SI314 makes your P61 accessible from anywhere in the world. Data logging of pressure data is configured via a web browser or smart phone and readings may be stored once per minute to once per hour. A thumb drive or memory card collects the data in comma separated file format(csv) for download to your computer. The data may also be accessed via the network. A graph of the data is also generated on request. A Twitter function allows pressure data to be tweeted from the SI314 at user-defined intervals. The transducer zero and span calibration adjustments are password protected and operated via browser buttons. No potentiometer adjustments are required to calibrate the P61 transducer. The 1553-USB-PIU is a Portable Interface Unit providing full MIL-STD-1553 test, simulation and bus analysis capability in a compact self-contained unit, to connect via a USB interface to suitable host systems. The unit provides support for all 1553A, 1553B, McAir and STANAG 3838 variants in a self contained battery operated unit, and is supplied with a matching power supply and battery charger unit for desk-top use. The 1553-USB-PIU supports concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with Bus Monitor (BM). An additional stand-alone Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM) facility is also provided, with comprehensive multi-level triggering capability. The unit provides a variable amplitude dual redundant 1553 interface. 2 Mbytes of dual ported RAM are provided.
