  • DC Resistance or Conductance of Insulating Materials

ASTM D257 - National Technical Systems

These test methods cover direct-current procedures for the measurement of dc insulation resistance, volume resistance, and surface resistance. From such measurements and the geometric dimensions of specimen and electrodes, both volume and surface resistivity of electrical insulating materials can be calculated, as well as the corresponding conductances and conductivities. These test methods are not suitable for use in measuring the electrical resistance/conductance of moderately conductive materials. Use Test Method D4496 to evaluate such materials. This standard describes several general alternative methodologies for measuring resistance (or conductance). Specific materials can be tested most appropriately by using standard ASTM test methods applicable to the specific material that define both voltage stress limits and finite electrification times as well as specimen configuration and electrode geometry. These individual specific test methodologies would be better able to define the precision and bias for the determination.

  • Circular Locus Tester

TF225 - TESTEX Testing Equipment Systems Ltd.

Circular Locus Tester, to determine surface deterioration and quality of fabrics (wool, chemical fiber, mixed, kitted and woven fabrics). Using an active friction system, fabric is rubbed against a nylon brush and abrasive or an abrasive only under controlled conditions. Results of the test are achieved in minutes. The relative motion of the locus specimen grip and the abrasive platform is a circle with a relative speed of 60+/-1 r/min. The grip offers pressure to the specimen which is adjustable with a tolerance of +/-1%. For added control and safety, the machine is equipped with a self-stop switch.

  • Gold Detectors

    Minelab Electronics Pty Ltd

Be prepared to dig deeper than ever before! With a Minelab Gold Detector you''ll find the elusive gold nuggets that others are missing! Minelab Gold Detectors are the FIRST CHOICE for: Professional gold prospectors, Small scale artisanal mining, Serious holiday gold prospecting, Weekend enthusiasts, Gold specimen collectors.

  • Insect Rearing Rooms

    Darwin Chambers Company

Standard walk-in incubators or coolers used in the rearing of drosophila and other biological organisms often end up being problematic for a number of reasons. The acids inherent in the rearing of many specimens or their food can quickly corrode a standard refrigeration evaporator. High humidity exacerbates the issue, as droplets of concentrated acid will collect on the cooling components.

  • Mini Cloud & Pour Point Analyzer

    OptiMPP - PAC L.P.

The automated OptiMPP provides highly accurate cloud and pour point results using only 0.5 ml sample. Simply place the sample in a disposable vial into the 20 specimen sample changer and press the OK key. No special programming or expected point is required. Results are available in 20 minutes for a -30ºC pour point.

  • One-Touch, Strain Gauge Extensometers

    SSG-H Series - Shimadzu Corp.

The SSG-H series of strain gauge extensometers are compliant with ISO, JIS, and ASTM tensile test standards for hard plastics and metal materials Featuring a wide elongation measurement range with the ability to measure using small gauge lengths, these lightweight, clip-on strain gauge extensometers attach to both rod and flat plate specimens.

  • Impact Testing Machine

    Instron

Instron Dynatup drop weigh impact testing machine next generation is the Instron 9400 Series. A drop weight impact testing machine is used to determine the energy required to break or damage a material in which a defined weight falls onto a specimen or a component from a specific height and with a specific impact energy and velocity.

  • Cryostats

    attoCRYO - attocube systems AG

Fundamental research in physics, as well as specimen characterization in materials science often require the use of (ultra) low temperatures. Many phenomena also involve the application of high magnetic fields, usually generated by superconducting magnets. attocube provides a broad portfolio of versatile cryostats for sensitive measurements at variable temperatures and extreme conditions.

  • High Temperature Axial Torsional Extensometers (1200 C or 1600 C)

Model 7650 - Jinan Testing Equipment IE Corporation

Model 7650 extensometers are primarily used on round specimens tested in bi-axial test machines capable of simultaneous axial and torsional loading. All models are capable of bi-directional displacement in both axes and may be used for strain-controlled fatigue testing under fully reversed load and strain conditions at frequencies up to 10 Hz.All 7650 models mount rigidly on the load frame and incorporate slide mounting to bring the extensometer into contact with the specimen. The gauge length is set automatically before mounting on the test specimen, which allows for hot mounting after thermal equilibrium has been reached. These units are specifically designed to minimize crosstalk between axes and to provide high accuracy, high resolution measurements. They incorporate capacitive sensors for low operating force and include electronics with programmable filtering and multi-point linearization for improved performance and accuracy. The overall design minimizes, and in many cases virtually eliminates, any influence from common lab environment vibrations. These water-cooled extensometers are equipped with high purity alumina rods with conical rod tips for specimen contact when testing to 1200℃(2200°F). Silicon carbide rods are used for the 1600℃ (2900°F) high temperature option.

  • Plug-in Temperature Conditioners

    PITC - Bemco Inc.

The PITC, with a temperature range of -70 C to +177 C, was first introduced in the late 1950s by Bemcos Conrad/Missimer Division. Today, the modernized version of this system is the ideal solution where short run or infrequent tests are required, test specimens are unusual in size or shape, initial capital costs must be held low, or test needs are frequently changed.

  • Ultra Fast Flexible Implantable Microprobe

    IT-23 - Physitemp Instruments

IT-23 Flexible Implantable Microprobe - For ultra fast measurements and for use on micro-size specimens. Time constant 0.005 seconds. Tissue Implantable with a 23 gauge needle (supplied). Fairly fragile. Sensor wires are twisted TFE Teflon™ insulated. Maximum Temperature 150°C. Isolated. Probe diameter .011", 3 foot lead.

  • Zipper Tester

    TESTEX Testing Equipment Systems Ltd.

Zipper Tester, to determine the resistance to reciprocation of zipper (slide fastener), the test specimen is subjected to a specified number of cyclic operations whilst under lateral and longitudinal tension. Zipper Tester complies with BS 3084, CNS -1083, QB/T2171-1995, etc. Please contact us for more about information about pull test procedure.

  • Long Travel Extensionmeters

    Instron

The Instron model XL (long travel) extensometer is a precise device for measuring strain in highly extensible materials such as elastomers, semi-rigid plastics and films. Designed for use with electromechanical testing instruments, Instron XL units can be used to measure specimens elongation's up to 10 in or 250 mm. An optional of 15 in or 375 mm travel is also available.

  • Martindale Abrasion Tester
