At the heart of the MD-7500-HD is a set of three air-cooled eddy current power absorbers. Each absorber, or brake, can hold up to 600-hp (total power of 1,800-hp) – more than enough to simulate a fully loaded transit bus. As the systems PAU’s (brakes) are air-cooled, no water is required to or from the device – eliminating the high cost of water consumption and/or the cost of an expensive water recovery system – which can sometimes exceed the cost of the dynamometer system itself. Mustang is the only company that offers a Universal Fleet Test Bed without water supply requirements. AC Motors can be added to simulate regeneration and validate range for organizations that have transitioned to carbon free electric propulsion. Conducting all the parametric measurements necessary for the numerous test structures on a semiconductor wafer can be a time-consuming and expensive process. With the cost of end-user devices continuing to drop, even laboratory characterization environments must reduce the cost of test. This compact interferometer has a carrying handle and must be attached to a desktop or laptop computer (not included) with a standard USB 2.0 port for operation. The included CC6000 software, which is used to control the interferometer, can be installed on a computer with the minimum requirements in the table below. Designed for use in both the factory and the field, this interferometer provides crucial quality information needed to assure long-term performance of fiber optic connectors. One CC250P Mount for Ø2.50 mm PC Connectors and one RT250P Reference Tool for calibrating the CC250P mount are included with the CC6000 interferometer; mounts and reference tools that enable measurement of other PC or APC, single-fiber connectors are available separately below. When used with an appropriate mount for APC connectors, the CC6000 interferometer is also capable of measuring the APC angle and key error.
