12-Bit, 8-Channel, 1 MS/s PXI Analog Output Module—The PXI‑6713 is a high-speed analog output device designed to deliver simultaneous, multichannel updates for control and waveform output applications, such as stimulus-response, power supply control, high-speed, deterministic control, and sensor/signal simulation. In addition, the device provides eight 5 V TTL/CMOS digital I/O lines; two 24‑bit, 20 MHz counter/timers; and digital triggering and external clocking capabilities. The PXI‑6713 can replace several kinds of instruments, including stand-alone proportional integral derivative (PID) controllers, low-speed arbitrary waveform generators, and function generators. You can control each data point for each channel to define common waveforms, such as square, sine, or sawtooth, as well as complex waveforms.

PXI Signal Insertion Switch Modules, also known as fault insertion units (FIUs), provide a set of feedthrough channels, which make the switch transparent to the system when closed. You can open or short these channels to one of two fault buses, allowing you to simulate open or interrupted connections as well as shorts between pins, shorts to battery voltages, and shorts to ground on a per-channel basis. When controlled with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, the PXI Signal Insertion Switch Module can validate the integrity of control systems including engine control units (ECUs) and full authority digital engine controls (FADECs). You can also use the FIU models for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) applications and electronic reliability tests.

ADLINK PXI-7931 is a matrix module with 32 cross-point 2-wire relays (DPDT, 2 Form C). The default configuration of the PXI-7931 itself is a 4-group 2x4 2-wire matrix. With the termination board, TB-6231, users could flexibly choose one of the configurations: one 4x8, two 4x4, one 2x16, two 2x8 and four 2x4. Any contact of the PXI-7931 can connect to other contacts, individually or in combination. The PXI-7931 matrix module simplifies the wiring and makes it easy to change the internal connection path. The contact position of the relays can be changed either by direct software commands or by following the instructions previously stored in the on-board scan list. The scan list advances upon the trigger from external measurement devices, such as a DMM. The scan list could also advance when the scan-delay timer expires. In the PXI-7931, PXI trigger functions are supported and software programmable. Multiple modules can therefore be synchronized without additional field wiring.
