Synchronous Accumulation (Order Analysis)
Order analysis is one of the most convenient and efficient methods for diagnostics and balancing of rotating mechanisms and transmission gears. With an RPM sensor and a vibration sensor, it is possible to study the time characteristics of gear vibration signals. It is a well-known fact that a signal from a vibration sensor is affected by signals from other sources. To tune out from the disturbing signals, the synchronous signal accumulation method is used. For each shaft rotation, the RPM sensor provides a rotation mark. This signal serves as a triggering strobe for the vibration sensor signal sweeping. The obtained signal sweeps are combined. All the sources of the signals related to the shaft frequency (frequency of rotation) are accumulated and increased in the accumulator linearly proportionally to the N number of rotations. All other signals that are not correlated with the shaft frequency are accumulated proportionally to N1/2 and in case of a greater number of averagings, the useful signal exceeds the interference level.

Multiplexed- Low-Level Function Card
Low-level multiplexed systems have a single programmable gain, wide-band amplifier following the input multiplexer. To accommodate low-level signal signals such as those from strain gauges or thermocouples and at the same time high level signals from other sources, the throughput rate must be limited to enable the high bandwidth amplifier to settle to the correct value after switching to a new channel. This results in a relatively low aggregate throughput rate when compared to an amplifier-per-channel system. The Type HFX-1 Modulation Monitor is an ancillary piece of equipment, which is used with narrow bandwidth, or older oscilloscopes to allow viewing of RF signals and particularly modulated signals as high as 55MHz. The equipment contains an RF signal source and a broadband mixing circuit which converts the high frequency signal to an intermediate frequency within the oscilloscope’s range. The frequency control dial is simply adjusted until the RF signal is viewed on the scope. BNC connectors are mounted on the rear panel to allow interconnect to the scope and RF probe.
