Electromagnetic fields cause interference in electronic devices and may affect the health of people close to where the fields are generated. It is important to recognize this at an early stage in a construction process, for instance at a future construction location or while construction is already underway, so that budgets are not exceeded. By means of field-strength measurements one can chart the existing electromagnetic fields and radiation emitted by GSM, UMTS antennas and transformer spaces, to mention a few examples. These measurements can help determine the best location in the new building for rooms where sensitive measurements are to take place, e.g. in hospitals or nano laboratories. And last but not least, field-strength measurements can detect sources of interference and can be part of a scheduled check of existing screened spaces and Faraday cages.

The buoy has internal space to assemble equipment for all kind of applications. Operating on an integrated battery supply the buoy has been applied for the following projects:Wireless data-transfer from sensors on a submerged wreck to a control office on a nearby ship. Multiple incline and acceleration sensors were placed on the wreck and connected by wire to the bottom of the buoy, the data was gathered and wireless transferred over more than 100 meters.Wireless video transfer from a camera to follow the activities of a diver on a fixed object. Camera was connected by cable to the buoy and video was wireless transferred from the buoy to a video control room at a nearby ship.“Flessenpost” An IRIDIUM transmitter was placed inside a buoy and the buoy was dropped in the Nordsee, a geocaching look-a-like game was initiated to find the buoy.Survey of bottom with a camera on the diver and the buoy following the diver on the surface. Video was transferred to a control room on the quay.

The PEM010 is a highly integrated millimeter wave transmitter that covers the 60 GHz global unlicensed spectrum allocations packaged in a standard waveguide module. Transmitter architecture is a double conversion, sliding IF with wide bandwidth capability through the up-conversion chain from baseband to carrier. The I/Q interface accepts analog baseband signals which provides for flexibility in design and applications. The baseband input optionally supports FSK/MSK modulation for non-coherent applications. The transmitter incorporates a complete waveguide interface with low-loss transition between the chip and the WR15 waveguide port. The integrated package is small and lightweight, with a simple to use multi-pin ST4 connector for power, reference clock, digital control port and baseband signals. Either of two reference clocks can be used for setting 540 MHz or 500 MHz channel spacing.

Taking up significantly less space on the rail by being up to 44% slimmer than current generation DIN rail power supplies, the 30 Watt DPC30 measures just 90.0 x 100.0 x 22.5 mm (3.6 x 3.94 x 0.89 inches). Also, the 50 Watt DPC50 measures 90.0 x 100.0 x 30.0 mm (3.6 x 3.94 x 1.18 inches) and the 70 Watt DPC70 measures only 90.0 x 100.0 x 40.5 mm (3.6 x 3.95 x 1.59 inches).
