Vector offers a comprehensive range of VMEbus backplanes from 2 to 21 slots. VME J1/J2 and VME64x J1/J2/P0 backplanes per ANSI/VITA 1.1-1997. Monolithic 6U high VME64 and VME64x backplanes are fully RoHS compliant and perform to ANSI/VITA 1.7-2003 (R2009) increased current level for VME (96 pin) and VME64x (160 pin) DIN/IEC connectors.

As a result there is no need to modify expensive backplanes to incorporate redundant power supplies or N+1 configurations. Universal (uncommitted) multilayer backplanes are designed for unique one of a kind applications requiring custom pin-out wiring from connector to connector. Each individual connector pin must be "assigned" by connecting to adjacent power or ground pins with wire or jumpers. Power or Ground input through a labeled series of power taps (screw terminals) along to top and bottom of the board.

A pair of Terminator boards are included with each J1 and J2 backplane and are also available separately. There are two versions : Perpendicular (standard) and parallel. The latter offers a lower profile (Normal profile : 1.0", parallel : 0.5") than the perpendicular, if this is needed.
