The 40/42-855A-022 is a PXI/PXIe dual 2-channel multiplexer with FC/APC connectors and is part of Pickering's range of PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching modules. They are available in many high density formats with a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. They are also available with an optional hardware interlock which, when activated, will return all optical switches to their default unpowered state.

They are available with two connector options; SMB that provides a frequency range of 1.8 GHz (50 Ω) / 1.3 GHz (75 Ω), or multiway which limits the bandwidth to 1.3 GHz but offers a high density solution occupying one PXI slot. The 40-780B-573 (PXI) and 42-780B-573 (PXIe) are triple failsafe SPDT 67 GHz unterminated microwave relay modules. The 40/42-780B range is available with one, two, three or four SPDT switches capable of switching frequencies up to 67 GHz in 50 Ω or 2.5 GHz in 75 Ω. Connections are made via front panel mounted high quality RF coaxial connectors, SMA or N-Type for 50 Ω and 1.6/5.6 in 75 Ω versions. Remote versions are also available which can support up to three SPDT relays in a single slot.
