The range of modules is available in 50 Ω and 75 Ω variants with mixed SP4T & SPDT switches in a single PXI module. They are available with two connector options; SMB that provides a frequency range of 1.8 GHz (50 Ω) / 1.3 GHz (75 Ω), or multiway which limits the bandwidth to 1.3 GHz but offers a high density solution occupying one PXI slot. The connectors used are fully supported by the range of Pickering Interfaces connection solutions.

The 40-780B-573 (PXI) and 42-780B-573 (PXIe) are triple failsafe SPDT 67 GHz unterminated microwave relay modules. The 40/42-780B range is available with one, two, three or four SPDT switches capable of switching frequencies up to 67 GHz in 50 Ω or 2.5 GHz in 75 Ω. Connections are made via front panel mounted high quality RF coaxial connectors, SMA or N-Type for 50 Ω and 1.6/5.6 in 75 Ω versions. Remote versions are also available which can support up to three SPDT relays in a single slot.

Matrix Switch Module
The 40-554B-011 is a high current 6x2 matrix occupying two PXI chassis slots. Each matrix crosspoint uses a fully isolated solid state relay which has been designed to offer fast operation under hot switching conditions and high inrush current with no operational life degradation. Each matrix switching path can support 30A of continuous current and switch up to 40V signals. The switches can sustain inrush currents in excess of 120A. AC or DC signals can be switched since the switch is polarity insensitive.

Pickering PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching cards are available in many high density formats with a choice of 5 different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. Fiber optic multiplexers create a signal path by redirecting the optical signal into a selected output fiber. This is achieved using Micro-Mechanical Mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism and activated via an electrical control signal.
