PXI Single 8 Channel Optic Mux SC/PC

The 40-852-218 8-channel multiplexer is part of Pickering's range of PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching modules. They are available in many high density formats with a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. Fiber optic multiplexers create a signal path by redirecting the optical signal into a selected output fiber. This is achieved using Micro-Mechanical Mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism and activated via an electrical control signal.

The 40-592A FIBO (Fault Insertion Break-Out) Matrix Module is a large-scale high density switching matrix based on the Pickering BRIC format. The fault insertion BRICs are designed for applications requiring the simulation of a variety of faults in complex, high pin count, applications involving sensors and control units. Typical faults that can be simulated are open-circuits, short circuits to ground or battery, or short-circuits between input/output lines. Typical applications are in automotive and aerospace industries which involve safety or mission critical systems that have to behave predictably when cabling or sensor faults occur.

This female to female 1m cable assembly does not connect directly to Pickering Interfaces products that use the 200-Pin LFH connector, but customers may find it useful in the development of their own connection solutions. It is constructed from 4 bundles of 50-wire round/flat ribbon cable and the connector assemblies can be secured to their mating connectors by male screwlocks.
