LXI 75Ω RF Matrix - 1GHz
The design is fully scalable, allowing a variety of matrix sizes to be offered in a single family. It maintains a close path loss match for all routes through the matrix, minimizing the calibration effort that has to be invested by users in optimizing their test system performance. The design is non-blocking Y to X (or X to Y) allowing any input to be connected to any output. The construction is based on high quality electromechanical relays which provide a fast operating time compared to microwave relays.

It is part of the 60-750/751 range of LXI Microwave Switches controlled through an LXI compliant Ethernet connection. This series of high density multiplexer modules feature a wide range of switching configurations, especially useful where a large number of small multiplexers are required. Typical applications include signal routing in ATE and data acquisition systems. Connections are made via a front panel 200-pin connector. Inter-bank linking relays allow multiplexer size to be increased in multiples of in multiples of three by joining the common terminals of adjacent banks. Closing one linking switch produces a 6-channel multiplexer, closing all linking switches produces an 54-channel multiplexer

The 40-592A FIBO (Fault Insertion Break-Out) Matrix Module is a large-scale high density switching matrix based on the Pickering BRIC format. The fault insertion BRICs are designed for applications requiring the simulation of a variety of faults in complex, high pin count, applications involving sensors and control units. Typical faults that can be simulated are open-circuits, short circuits to ground or battery, or short-circuits between input/output lines.

The 50-510 series of matrix cards feature a wide range of selectable switching configurations (22x4,dual 20x4,22x8 and 44x4). Larger matrices may be constructed by Daisy Chaining the common signals from multiple PCI cards. For example four 44x4 Cards will form a 176x4 Matrix, a total of 704 crosspoints. Expansion cables are available for the 50-512 and 50-513: The 50-512 can be expanded to 44x8 or the 50-513 can be expanded to 88x4 using two cards linked by the ribbon cable assembly 50-976-020-0.1M. Also the 50-512 can be expanded to 22x16 or the 50-513 can be expanded to 44x8 using two cards linked by the ribbon cable assembly 50-976-050-0.1M.
