  • Shear Strength Testing

    National Technical Systems

Many different loading schemes fall under the broad category of shear testing. Most often performed on small coupons of metals, composites and adhesives, these tests apply force or displacement until the specimen fractures. Single lap, double lap, short beam shear and torsion are typical configurations. All of these tests are designed to characterize materials under shear loading by determining shear-stress/shear-strain curves and material properties, including shear strengths and shear moduli.

  • Structural Durability Solutions

    Instron

Instron offers a variety of testing systems and rigs for static, quasi-static and dynamic loading of structures and components. This includes Component Test Systems, Shaking Tables, Road Simulators, Axle Test Systems, Full Vehicle Test Systems, Wheel Test Systems, Shock Absorber Test Systems, Elastomer Test System and Dynamic Torsion Test Systems.

  • Force Sensor Elements

    Variohm Eurosensor Ltd

The STL Force Sensing Tension Links are a series of unique force sensors. The Tension Links utilize the internal strain gage process sucessfully and are used in bolts, load pins and flat load cells. The sensing element consists of a strain gage bridge circuit internally installed in a small hole along the longitudinal axis. This unique arrangement provides a most effective means for the protective sealing of the internal electronics while minimizing the adverse effects of extraneous torsion and bending loads.

  • Electronic Product Testers

    Infinity Machine International Inc.

Electronic Product Testers by Infinity Machine International Inc. - for applications such as connectors insert and extract testing machine, touch screen torsion, abrupt pull tester for power wire and headphone cable, double station electronic product cable tester, cord flexing rotary bending fatigue tester, button click electronic product tester simulation, and more.

  • DIgital 3D Image Correlation System

    Q-400 - Dantec Dynamics A/S

The Digital 3D Image Correlation System Q-400 is an optical measuring device for true full-field, non-contact, three-dimensional measurement of shape, displacements and strains on components and structures made from almost any material. The Q-400 system is used for determination of three-dimensional material properties in tensile, torsion, bending or combined tests. In addition, deformation and strain analysis can be applied to fatigue tests, fracture mechanics, FEA validation, and much more.

  • Torque Transducers

    Interface Inc.

Interface offers both reaction and rotary style torque transducers.Whether you need torque transducers for rotary torque, axial torsion or reaction torque, you don't have to be an expert in torque measurement, because we are. Talk to us about what sort of torque you need to measure, and under what conditions and constraints. We'll walk you through the specification process, quickly and efficiently, and if we don't have what you need on the shelf, we'll be happy to customize an existing product or build a new one from scratch to meet your exacting requirements.

  • Terminal Mechanical Strength Test

    Aero Nav Laboratories, Inc.

The terminal strength test is used to performed to determine whether the design of electrical terminals and their method of attachment can withstand mechanical stresses to which they will be subjected during installation or disassembly in equipment. These stresses must be withstood by the component without sustaining damage which would affect either the integrity of the terminals or the operation of the component part itself. Procedures are established in this method for testing, for example wire-lead terminals, flexible-flat-strip or tab-lead terminals, and rigid-type terminals which are threaded or have other arrangements for attaching conductors. The forces applied during the test consist of direct axial, radial or tension pulls, twist, bending torsion, and the torque exerted by the application of nuts or screws on threaded terminals.

  • Open Optical Encoders

    Renishaw Inc.

An optical encoder is an electromechanical device which produces an electrical signal output proportional to the linear displacement of a linear guide or the angular position of an input shaft.Open encoders are exposed and feature no external integrated enclosure. The advantages of open optical encoders include the effective elimination of backlash, shaft wind-up (torsion) and other mechanical hysteresis errors.A rotary open optical encoder consists of a position measurement readhead and an accurate rotary scale marked either on the periphery of a ring or on the face of a disc. The readhead measures position by optically sensing the regularly-spaced scale markings and outputs this information as an analogue or digital signal. The signal is subsequently converted into a position reading by a digital readout (DRO) or motion controller.
