Resolvers and synchros are transducers that convert the angular position and/or velocity of a rotating shaft to an electrical signal. Both deliver signals proportional to the sine and/or cosine of the shaft angle. A resolver-to-digital or synchro-to-digital converter converts these signals to a digital output corresponding to the shaft angle and/or velocity. ADI’s family of RDCs and SDCs offer solutions for these applications.

Synchros and Resolvers are transformer-type voltage/current transducers that convert a shaft or other rotating device's angular position and/or velocity to a multi-wire AC electrical signal. Both deliver signals proportional to the Sine and/or Cosine of the shaft angle. A Resolver-to-Digital or a Synchro-to-Digital converter is used to convert these signals to a digital output corresponding to the shaft angle and/or velocity.

8810A -
North Atlantic Industries
NAI's 8810A Angle Position Indicator (API) is a rack-mount or bench-top measurement instrument featuring front panel controls and input terminals. The use of an intelligent DSP design eliminates push buttons and allows all programming to be done either via an integrated touch-screen, front panel USB optical mouse interface, or with the multipurpose increment/setup knob. Improved flexibility is provided by two fully independent inputs that can be used to read two separate input signals simultaneously, or can be combined to measure multi-speed Synchros or Resolvers.Read more: http://www.naii.com/Angle-Position-Indicator-High-Accuracy/P196#ixzz3ztgONPA5

TA-334001 -
Tech-Aid Products
The TA-334001 is a Dual Servo Electrical Test Fixture made to be an equivalent substitute for the Honeywell test fixture T-334001. The test fixture front panel duplicates all the proper switch numbers and descriptions so the technician can follow by the book testing. The panel overlay text is reverse screened (backside) to insure that text quality will not degrade over time. All the appropriate test jacks are provided on the panel for servo pin and bracket breakouts. This fixture provides for the switching of motor direction, clutch, tach selection, synchro selection, limit switching and polarity relays. Panel meters are provided on the test fixture so that the technician can monitor the servomotor voltage as well as clutch voltage and current.
