Strain Gauge Test
This test measures the structural stresses induced in equipment when subjected to various environmental and operational loads. Strain gages, which are resistive devices whose outputs are proportional to the amount that they are deformed under strain, are placed at selected locations to yield stress levels which may then be compared to design allowable limits.

Displacement Transducers
Procter & Chester Measurements Ltd
Pressure: Measures gas or liquid pressure. Pressure is an expression of the force required to stop a fluid from expanding. The transducer generates a signal from the pressure imposed upon it. Torque: Measures the torque (or twisting motion) on a static or rotating system. The static torque element has little movement and therefore more economic to manufacture and purchase. Rotary or dynamic torque is more complicated as the signal needs to be transferred using slip rings, wireless telemetry or rotary transformers/inductance technology so that the strain gauged shaft can continuously rotate. Displacement: Measures distance. The displacement transducers that PCM offer are slightly different to standard units. They have a strain gauge/wheatstone bridge. The benefit here is that if the customer has existing electronics that uses strain gauge/load cell technology, they can use them with these sensors.

Pressure Sensors
A pressure sensor is a device that senses pressure and converts it into an electric signal where the amount depends upon the pressure applied. TE Connectivity (TE) designs and manufactures pressure sensors ranging from the sensing element to system packaging for harsh environments. We are an industry leader for our range of both standard and custom pressure sensors, from board level components to fully amplified and packaged transducers. Based on piezoresistive Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and silicon strain gauge (Microfused, Krystal Bond) technology, our sensors measure everything from less than one inch of water column (<1.25 mbar) to 100K psi (7K bar).

Analog Input Products
Analog input boards are useful for measuring variably changing conditions in the real world. When we want to measure these variably changing conditions, we need analog inputs to convert these changing real world conditions to changing electrical quantities. For example, monitoring the temperature inside a wood kiln, or the water pressure on the output of a pump, or the heart rate of a medical patient. In each of these cases, you can use one of our analog input devices to convert the electrical data from a sensor or transducer into binary data that can then be used by your computer. The device that converts this data is known as an analog to digital converter (abbreviated ADC, A/D, or A to D). An analog input is a measurable electrical signal with a defined range. The analog input changes continuously in a definable manner in relation to the measured property. This data is very useful for process monitoring, process control, or simple monitoring / data collection and acquisition. ACCES' analog input boards amplify and multiplex input signals from thermocouples, strain gauges, accelerometers, photo sensors, flowmeters, RTDs, thermistors, voltage sources, millivolt sources, and current sources, just to name a few.
