  • Sound Level Meters / Noise Level Meters

Dhanbad Lab Instruments India Pvt Ltd

A sound level meter is a measuring instrument used to assess noise or sound levels by measuring sound pressure. Often referred to as a sound pressure level (SPL) meter, decibel (dB) meter, noise meter, or noise dosimeter, a sound level meter uses a microphone to capture sound. The sound is then evaluated within the sound level meter and acoustic measurement values are shown on the display of the sound level meter.

  • Sound Level Logger-limiters

    CESVA Instruments, SL

Frequency Filter Sound Level Limiter-recorder that controls by emission Sound Pressure Level or reception SPL.

  • Sound Level Meters & Calibrators

    GAO Tek Inc.

A sound level meter, also known as sound pressure level (SPL), decibel (DB) meter, noise meter or noise dosimeter is mainly used for measuring sounds travelling through air. It is used to test noise or sound levels by evaluating sound pressure. It uses a microphone to capture sound and the sound is then evaluated in the device. It is commonly used to prevent loud noises to create a better work environment.

  • Sound Level Meters

    PCE Instruments

A sound level meter is a measuring instrument used to assess noise or sound levels by measuring sound pressure. Often referred to as a sound pressure level (SPL) meter, decibel (dB) meter, noise meter or noise dosimeter, a sound level meter uses a microphone to capture sound. The sound is then evaluated within the sound level meter and acoustic measurement values are shown on the display of the sound level meter. The most common unit of acoustic measurement for sound is the decibel (dB); however, some sound level meter devices also determine the equivalent continuous sound level (Leq) and other acoustic parameters. With a portable sound level meter, industrial hygiene and workplace safety professionals can measure sound levels in multiple locations to ensure environmental conditions fall within recommended exposure limits (RELs). Some sound level meter devices can be permanently installed for continuous monitoring of sound levels at a work or job site.

  • Test Chambers

    Anechoic - ViAcoustics

Free Field Test Chamber for sound pressure level measurement, sound power level determination, acoustic research and audio measurement applications

  • Sound Calibrator

    SC-3120 - Ono Sokki

The SC-3120 Sound Calibrator is a precise standard sound source of piston-phone type which accurately calibrates a sound level meter. It drives the piston in the cylinder in reciprocating motion to generate sine-wave sound having a fixed sound pressure level.

  • Anechoic Chambers

    Eckel Noise Control Technologies

Anechoic Chambers are echo-free enclosures with a sound energy absorption level of 99% to 100%, or a reflected sound pressure level of 10% or less. The frequency at which the energy absorption drops below 99%, or the pressure reflection exceeds 10%, is known as the low-frequency cut-off. Sound absorption is obtained by lining the walls, ceilings, and floor with wedges or other sound absorbing elements or SuperSoft panels, depending on performance level required and cut-off desired.

  • Sound Level Calibrators

    PeakTech Prüf- und Messtechnik GmbH

For sound level measurements in extreme conditions, at high altitudes or high demands on the accuracy of the measurement results, sound level meters should be checked prior to the measurement with a sound level calibrator. Also for calibration and verification of microphones in audio technology, you need a sound level calibrator, which is designed to produce several sound pressure levels at a fixed frequency characteristic. This calibrator has two switchable calibration steps.

  • Sound Level Meters

    CESVA Instruments, SL

A sound level meter is used for acoustic (sound that travels through air) measurements. It is commonly a hand-held instrument with a microphone. The diaphrahm of the microphone responds to changes in air pressure caused by sound waves.

  • Sound Calibrators

    SC-2500/SC-2120A - Ono Sokki

Ono Sokki provides three types of sound calibrator to meet various needs. SC-2500 is newly developed calibrator using sound pressure feedback control method for a Class 1 sound level meter. SC-2120A is used for calibration of Class 2 sound level meter which is dynamic speaker type.

Some sound level meter devices can be permanently installed for continuous monitoring of sound levels at a work or job site.An important attribute to consider when searching for a suitable sound level meter is its type or class. The type or class of a sound level meter defines the device's accuracy as per American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) guidelines. Typically, "type" is the grade according to the ANSI S1.4 standard, whereas "class" is the grade according to the IEC 61672 standard. There are two types or classes assigned to sound level meters: type 1 / class 1 or type 2 / class 2. For assessing noise in basic industrial, commercial, educational, recreational or residential applications, a type 2 / class 2 sound level meter usually will suffice. For precision-grade assessments often made in a laboratory, a type 1 / class 1 sound level meter primarily is used. PCE sound level meter products are lightweight, easy-to-use and manufactured in accordance with the highest industrial standards.
