  • Light Analysis

    Thorlabs, Inc.

Welcome to Thorlabs; below you will find links to detectors and instrumentation that measure the various properties of light, a subset of our entire line of photonics products. Thorlabs offers an extensive selection of instruments that measure the properties of light. Our versatile power and energy meters can be used with over 25 different sensors in order to make NIST-traceable power and energy measurements. If the convenience of a meter is not desired, our selection of detectors includes basic photodiodes (uncalibrated and calibrated), photodetectors (biased, amplified, and avalanche), CCD and CMOS arrays, position detectors, integrating spheres, and photomultiplier tubes. The Beam Characterization category contains beam profilers (camera and scanning slit), a wavefront sensor, spectrometers, and interferometers, while the Polarimetery link leads to a selection of instruments used to measure and control the polarization of light.

  • Network OTDR

    NFO series - Radiantech, Inc.

The NFO OTDR unit injects the laser pulse into the fiber under test and picks up scattered and reflected optical signals by an avalanche photodiode (APD). The unit accepts remote commands from Internet to control all related timing and data acquisition processes. Maximal three wavelengths are available at the NFO with options on 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm. NFO also has options on dynamic ranges so users can select the most cost effective units for their demands. Radiantech provides an easy use API (Application Program Interface) for NFO so users can design and build their own AP for NFO. Standard NFO API package is for Windows XP or higher. Please contact Radiantech’s sales person to inquire API for another OS.

  • Near Field Scanning Optical Microscope

MCL-NSOM - Mad City Labs Inc.

The MCL-NSOM is a fully operational near field scanning optical microscope. It has been built on Mad City Labs versatile RM21™ inverted optical microscope which allows users to convert between NSOM, SPM, and fluorescence optical microscopy techniques. The MCL-NSOM builds on our successful resonant probe SPM and incorporates common elements such as the MadPLL® phase lock loop controller. The NSOM also exploits our expertise in precision motion control by including six axes of motorized positioning, for the sample and NSOM probe, and three axes of closed loop nanopositioning to provide exceptional position resolution and accuracy. The MCL-NSOM also includes a 635nm laser excitation source, fiber launch, oil immersion objective lens (100x, 1.25 N.A.), CMOS alignment camera and avalanche photodiode detector. The microscope configurable design allows researchers to tailor the instrument for many different optical microscopy techniques including near field spectroscopy. The MCL-NSOM is operated in aperture mode with shear force feedback. The standard 5 modes are supported: illumination, collection, illumination and collection, reflection and reflection collection. We supply a LabVIEW™ based software package which automates the motion control features.

  • Optical Power And Energy Meters

    Thorlabs, Inc.

Thorlabs' expanding line of optical power and energy meters includes power meter consoles, a large selection of sensor heads, a wireless power meter with a built-in photodiode sensor, and a fiber optic power meter designed for use in the field. The consoles (PM100, PM400, and PM300 Series) when paired with our extensive line of power and energy sensors provide calibrated (NIST traceable) measurements across a broad range of powers, energies, and wavelengths. The console(s) and sensor(s) can be purchased individually or as bundles based on our most popular console and sensor pairings. The sensor calibration data is stored in the sensor head and is automatically read by the console, which allows the user to use multiple sensors with the same console. Compatible sensors are easily identified by the red c-series connector. All of our old A/B-Type sensors are available with the new connector; plus, we have continued to expand our power and energy sensor product lines.

  • Imaging

    Thorlabs, Inc.

Welcome to Thorlabs; below you will find links to our imaging systems and components. The products below are not only designed specifically for imaging applications, but they can be easily integrated into our entire line of photonics products. This makes it easy to modify or build custom imaging systems. Thorlabs’ Selection of Imaging Systems consists of our Laser Scanning Microscopy systems and OCT Imaging Systems. Our Laser Scanning Microscopy offering includes multiphoton and confocal fluorescence microscopy systems. Thorlabs is a leader in the development of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Imaging Systems. We offer complete systems as well as a selection of components that are ideal for constructing a custom OCT system. Our series of Laser-Scanning Cytometry instruments are non-confocal systems that utilize laser-spot scanning illumination. The detection system, which combines PMTs for fluorescence detection and photodiodes for absorbance and scatter detection, offers excellent quantitative cytometric performance and imaging capabilities. Our Burleigh® line or microscope platforms, micromanipulators, and accessories provide leading edge stability and control for electrophysiology research, and our line of Optogenetics equipment includes fiber optic components and light sources for in vivo optical stimulation for neuroscience research.

  • Laser Power Measurement Accessories

    Scientech Inc.

Scientech offers a wide selection of accessories for our detectors and power/energy meters to support or enhance your laser measurement. Fiber optic holders and adapters are available to allow direct fiber optic cable attachment to Astral and Vector 25mm calorimeters as well as Vector pyroelectric detectors (except the SP and HR models). Contact us if you have other fiber optic connector needs. For measuring at low power or energy (<30 mW or 30 mJ), Scientech recommends application of our Isoperibol™ enclosure to minimize environmental thermal interference. Isoperibol™ model 360203A is designed for use with 25mm aperture detectors, except slim profile models. Isoperibol™ model 360203F is designed for use with our PN 12420 adapter that attaches fiber holders to our 25mm detectors. A high-speed photodiode designed to attach to 25 mm Astral or Vector calorimeter apertures provides a temporal profile of the laser pulse when viewed on an oscilloscope. A wide variety of detector mounting assemblies are available for mounting the detector to an optical bench. Posts are available in 1/2" and 3/4" diameter and from 2 to 6 inches in length that attach to a selection of mounting bases.
