GPIB Digital Interfaces

The GPIB‑ENET/1000 is an IEEE 488 controller device for computers with an Ethernet port. You can use this device to share a single GPIB system among many networked users or to control several test systems from a single networked host. The GPIB‑ENET/1000 features a password-protected web interface for easy configuration. It can also control IEEE 488 devices from anywhere on an Ethernet‑based (LAN) TCP/IP network (Gigabit, 100BASE‑TX, 10BASE‑T). Each device interfaces to and shares up to 14 GPIB devices from several network hosts, and you can control up to 100 GPIB‑ENET/1000 interfaces with a single computer. The device includes a license for the NI‑488.2 driver software, providing maximum reliability for connecting to third-party instruments with GPIB.

The wiring mode function allows the user to take accurate power measurements for various wiring modes 1P2W/1P3W/3P3W/3P4W as well as providing accurate standard power measurements common for most electrical devices. A unique feature of the 66203/66204 is its stateof- the-art DSP digitizing technology instead of less accurate and slower traditional analog circuits. The internal 16 bits analog/digital converters with sampling rates of up to 250kHz provide both high speed and high accuracy measurements which is unprecedented within the industry for this class of power meters. The instruments include a four part display with 7-segment LED front panel readouts. Users can easily select desired parameters and readouts with a touch of a button. The i72120 GPIB-Chip is the ideal solution to implement a IEEE488.2 GPIB interface for next generation PCI based instruments. The GPIB-ASIC is designed to meet all of the functional requirements for talker and listener (TL) devices as specified by the IEEE Standards 488.1-1987 and 488.2-1987. Connected between the PCI bus and the GPIB, this GPIB-IC provides high-level management of the GPIB to unburden the processor and to simplify both hardware and software design. The i72120 is fully compatible with the PCI specification and requires only the addition of bus driver/receiver components to implement a talker/listener GPIB interface.
