2-CH MIL-STD-1553A/B Bus Simulator Module
1553 WA73A-455
-
The WA73A-455 MIL-STD-1553A/B Bus Simulator Module allows a system controller in an ATE system to communicate with and test devices that conform to the MIL-STD1553A/B data bus used in military aircraft and communications systems. Each of the WA73A-455's two channels operate as two separate and independent channels with their own VXIbus logical address, interrupts, and complete set of controls and indicators. As a result, each channel of the WA73A-455 is truly an independent instrument, and, therefore, individually programmable.

FTB
-
MIL-STD-1553 is a military standard published by the United States Department of Defense that defines the mechanical, electrical, and functional characteristics of a serial data bus. It was originally designed for use with military avionics, but has also become commonly used in spacecraft On-Board-Data-Handling (OBDH) subsystems, both military and civil. It features a dual, redundant, balanced-line, physical layer; a (differential) network interface; time division multiplexing; half-duplex command/response protocol; and up to 31 remote terminals (devices).

EXC-4000VME/MCH-x / EXC-4000VXI/MCH-x
-
The EXC-1553VME/MCH and EXC-1553VXI/MCH cards are based on a MIL-STD 1553 certified "Summit" chip used in many flight critical systems. Each dual redundant channel supports both MIL-STD-1553A and MIL-STD 1553B protocols. Up to eight channels may be programmed individually to operate as a Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, Bus Monitor, or Remote Terminal / Concurrent Bus Monitor. The 32 K x 16 of RAM allotted to each channel for the storage of data and control parameters may be updated in real time.

Combination Module: 2 Ch. MIL-STD-1553 & 12 Ch. Discrete I/O
CM8
-
The CM8 module is a combination of NAI's MIL-STD-1553B module, FTB, and Enhanced Discrete I/O module, DT4. The CM8 offers twelve channels of discrete I/O and two channels of MIL-STD-1553B communications. The twelve discrete I/O channels are programmable as either input (voltage or contact sensing with programmable, on-module pull-up/pull down current sources), or output (current source, sink, or push-pull) up to 500 mA per channel from an applied, external 3-60 VCC source. The discrete I/O channels also provide additional functionality modes such as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) output mode and Pattern Generator output mode. The two MIL-STD-1553B communications channels feature a dual, redundant, balanced-line, physical layer; a (differential) network interface; time division multiplexing; half-duplex command/response protocol; and up to 31 remote terminals (devices).

Intelligent, Single- or Dual-Channel MIL-STD-1760 Adapter
EXC-1553UNET/Px-1760
-
The EXC-1553UNET/Px-1760 is an intelligent, single- or dual-channel, MIL-STD-1760 adapter. Its small size and ability to interface through USB or Ethernet interfaces make it a complete solution for developing, testing and performing system simulation of the MIL-STD-1760 bus, both in the lab and in the field. The EXC-1553UNET/Px-1760 shares its API with the entire Px family so that applications currently running on PCI, PCIe, ExCARD or PCMCIA boards will run without change on this device.Multiple units can operate via USB ports on the same computer. In addition, multiple units can operate on the same network, by programming each one with a unique IP address, and can be accessed from any computer on the network. In addition the EXC-1553UNET/Px(S)-1760 provides 8 I/O Discrete signals and an IRIG B input.
