The APCI-3116 is a 16-bit multifunction board for 3.3 V and 5 V PCI systems, with optical isolation up to 1000 V and a high throughput rate of 200 kHz. The PCI board has additional types of conversion: Sequence RAM, Auto Refresh, scan, timer or external event.Furthermore, the board has a PCI DMA, 2 watchdogs, 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs. Sensors, which allow to supply current signals instead of voltage signals, also can be acquired with the APCI-3116, as this board offers up to 16 current inputs. The board is protected against overvoltage and input filter and it is protected against high frequency emmission. With the free calibration tool you can do the fine adjustment on-site.

These converters support up to 255 fiber nodes, and each fiber node can extend the Fast and Gigabit Ethernet data up to 100 miles or 160 km. Depending on the site situation, these multi-drop fiber optic converters can be configured as a daisy-chain or a self-healing redundant ring fiber network. Multi Channel Optical Fibre Verification
The multi-channel optical fibre test system is used in the development and qualification of single mode optical fibres. The fibres are exposed to environmental influences in a climatic chamber in order to analyse the data on insertion loss and reflection. In addition, the current temperature in the climatic chamber is documented. Insertion loss measurement is performed with the help of an optical power meter, laser sources and optical switches. An Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) from Exfo is used for the reflection measurements. The system was designed for the simultaneous characterization of 15 sample fibres and one reference fibre.
