DP-cPCI-4017 is a 40 Channel Relay Multiplexer module constructed using ‘2 Form A’ relays. The DP-cPCI-4017 is implemented as a 6U cPCI module. As a 40 channel multiplexer, one input can be multiplexed to any of the forty outputs or vice versa. The forty channel multiplexer is divided into 4 banks of 10 channels each. This combination allows the board to be used as one group of 40x1 or two groups of 20x1 or four groups of 10x1 multiplexer. The banks are isolated from each other using tree switches. Four tree switches are used, one tree switch for each bank.

The 40-735 data communications multiplexer is designed for switching the data lines of serial interfaces (RS232, USB). The module provides 8 measurement channels, and can be programmed for interfacing to 2, 3, and 4-wire platinum RTD sensor configurations. The 4-wire mode (default) is the most accurate, providing excellent stability and repeatability. The RTD channels feature individual A/D converters and precision excitation/current drive. Programmable lead-wire compensation is provided for inherently less accurate 2 and 3-wire configurations. All RTD channels are self-aligning because each channel is automatically "aligned" on a rotating basis to eliminate offset and gain errors throughout the operating envelope. Programmability for expected resistance range and wire modes allows for optimization of scaling/resolution, as well as flexibility in reading many RTD types.
