The hybridNETBOX DN2.80/81x series internally consists of a Digitizer and an AWG that can run together or independently. That allows simultaneous data generation and data acquisition for stimulus-response tests, ATE applications, MIMO applications or closed-loop applications. Used independently, the digitizer can acquire test data in the field and the AWG can replay this test data in lab. The hybridNETBOX offers 16 bit resolution and is available with sampling rates of 40 MS/s and 125 MS/s. The Validyne model SI314 is a network interface that connects our model P61 USB pressure Transducer to your smart phone or network web browser. The SI314 supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections and will display current pressure readings and transducer status on any web browser or via smart phone. The SI314 also displays the transducer temperature, date of calibration, model and serial numbers and these can be viewed wirelessly or by Ethernet connection. The SI314 makes your P61 accessible from anywhere in the world. Data logging of pressure data is configured via a web browser or smart phone and readings may be stored once per minute to once per hour. A thumb drive or memory card collects the data in comma separated file format(csv) for download to your computer. The data may also be accessed via the network. A graph of the data is also generated on request. A Twitter function allows pressure data to be tweeted from the SI314 at user-defined intervals. The transducer zero and span calibration adjustments are password protected and operated via browser buttons. No potentiometer adjustments are required to calibrate the P61 transducer. Circuit Check began Strain Gauge Testing in 1999 when BGA/SMT technology started replacing PTH components, reducing strain levels was a reactive post fixture fabrication process. We quickly recognized that the “reactionary” process was neither efficient nor were we capable on knowing the lowest achievable strain levels. Our engineering team came up with visual tools utilized during design to easily identify areas of excessive probe force, though still not enough data was generated to identify the lowest possible strain. Finite Element Analysis software models the PCBA and test fixture and applies the pressures from test probes and board supports and indicates the micro strain level applied to the PCBA. Using the FEA software during our design process allows our engineers to modify fixture designs to attain the lowest possible micro strain before fabrication begins.

The test system cluster architecture is based on dual CPU or 4-CPU PCs acting as cluster nodes. The nodes communicate and synchronise over a high-speed network (Myrinet or InfiniBand). A modification of the Linux operating system allows to run the test execution and evaluation algorithms in hard real-time on reserved CPUs, where scheduling is non-preemptive and controlled by the test system itself. The interrupts caused by interfaces to the system under test may be relayed to CPUs designated explicitly for their handling. This approach offers the opportunity to utilise high-performance standard hardware and the services provided by the widely accepted Linux operating system in combination with all mechanisms required for hard real-time computing. The cluster architecture presents an opportunity to distribute interfaces with high data throughput on different nodes, so that PCI bus overload can be avoided. In addition, the CPU load can be balanced by allocating test data generators, environment simulations and checkers for the behaviour of the system under test ("test oracles") on dedicated CPUs.
