The Lumistar LS-27-B Modular Dual Channel Tri-Band Tracking and Data Receiver is Lumistar’s third generation of modular high performance FM Receivers. This wideband designs supports one or two independent channels of PCM with data rates up to 20Mbps. The unit includes both an optional FM demodulated output for PCM data, and standard programmable AM/linear AGC outputs for auto-tracking receivers. The design offers 8 IF Bandwidths and 8 Video Filters per channel for each receiver.AC coupling with a low pass filter is employed to ensure a high quality data link with long strings of NRZ-L ones or zeroes. The unit provides a software selectable 10 MHz reference I/O port forlocking local oscillators to a high precision external source or to arrange multiple units in a master/slave arrangement. Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonators consist of two metal electrodes above and below a layer of a piezoelectric material. The piezoelectric material converts an electrical signal to a mechanical signal and vice versa. The metal electrodes provide the connections to/from the piezo material. The frequency at which resonance occurs depends on the thickness of the combined metal-piezo-metal stack. Advances in thin-film piezoelectric fabrication have enabled BAW resonators to meet RF filtering challenges up to 6000 MHz using standard MEMS fabrication process. High-performance BAW resonators-based RF filters are made of piezoelectric material having high Q-factor (>3000) and high coupling coefficient. Currently, no competitive technology provides the same high performance for RF filter applications when compared to BAW resonator-based RF filter up to 6000 MHz for the same size and cost.

This type of solar simulator uses Xenon high pressure arc lamps as light source. These lamps have a colour temperature near 5800 K, so it is feasible to filter the light output to an excellent AM 1.5 spectrum. If a tuneability of the spectrum is required, these lamps can be combined with tungsten lamps to achieve multi-source solar simulators. The Model FIM-71 is a portable, laboratory quality Field Strength Meter designed for rigorous field applications. Combining a calibrated half-wave dipole antenna and a highly accurate tuned voltmeter with a range of 140 dB, the FIM-71 is suitable for practically all types of RF emission measurements in the 45 MHz to 225 MHz spectrum.
