Probe Antennas
Probe antennas are offered as both standard and custom models with a rectangular waveguide interface. Probe antennas can only support linear polarization. These antennas are often used to measure the gain of other antennas by comparing the signal levels of the probe antenna and antenna under testing. The standard models operate across the full waveguide band and offer 6.5 dB nominal gain and 115 and 60 degrees half power beamwidth at center frequency. The PT-1 provides a simple and easy way to determine the relative polarity of coil windings. It allows for an in-process test that takes a minimum of time to perform. By placing a coil on the platform and making connection to the start and end of a winding, a test signal is induced in the winding. The induced signal is low level and completely safe for the operator. By comparing the test signal phase of the coil under the test output, the relative polarity is indicated by the Red/Green LED. The tester operates by inducing a signal voltage in the coil under test by means of a magnetic flux field. The field is generated by a coil located in the probe base. The coil configuration is designed to provide optimum field distribution. We have also applied this basic circuit to a 5-channel scanning unit.

Lens Corrected Antennas
Lens corrected antennas are offered with either a circular or rectangular waveguide interface. While lens corrected antennas with a rectangular waveguide interface can only support linear polarization, models with a circular waveguide interface can support various polarization types including horizontal, vertical, left-handed circular, and right-handed circular polarization for broader applications. These antennas are designed and constructed to offer high efficiency, low side lobes and a rugged mechanical configuration. In general, lens corrected antennas are ideal for achieving gain levels of up to 30 dB with moderate side lobe rejections. Additionally, its dielectric lens provides phase error corrections and serves as a radome to protect from environmental conditions.

Pressure/ Vacuum Sensors
There are three different types of pressures that can be measured using Premier Electrosystems' Pressure Sensors: Gauge, Absolute, and Differential. Gauge pressure is the pressure measured relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure.A typical application for a gauge pressure sensor is to measure liquid levels in a vented tank using the difference in hydrostatic pressure and ambient atmospheric pressure. Absolute pressure sensors will give the result relative to zero (a perfect vacuum). This is useful in applications where there is a direct effect of altitude on the pressure being measured. Differential pressure sensors measure the difference in pressure between two points. Differential pressure sensors are often used to monitor airflow in HVAC applications.
