BXL is an extra load unit designed to be used with DV Power’s BLU series battery testers. However, this unit is a universal add-on device. Because of that, it is compatible, as an additional load, with any other discharge/capacity tester in the market.In case when discharge current exceeds the capacity of a single BLU device, BXL can increase the discharge capacity. There are no limitations on the number of extra load units that can be connected in parallel to the main battery tester.A system of BLU and BXL instruments enables performing the capacity test in an accurate, user-friendly way. Also, all instruments are in accordance with battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.These units can be used on any type of battery string, such as lead-acid, Li-Ion, Ni-Cd, etc. They test battery strings with voltages in the range of 5,25 – 500 V DC. On the other hand, current up to 250 A can be discharged through the BXL internal structure.The instrument simulates a constant resistance load during the discharge test. Several resistances can be set for different battery nominal voltage levels. This makes BXL extremely flexible in selecting its load capabilities.

The main body of this unique extensometer remains stationary during testing, held in position by the adjustable magnetic base included. Only the very light, small traveling heads move as the sample elongates during a test. These attach to the sample with small spring clips. Each head pulls a cord out from the extensometer as the head moves. These models use high precision, low friction potentiometers, and, as a result, have a wide range of factory selectable outputs. The extensometer is driven by an excitation voltage and has output proportional to the input. They can be provided with high level outputs (approximately 2-8 VDC) or ones that mimic strain gaged devices (2-4 mV/V). When set to mimic strain gaged extensometers, the Model 3800 can be used with virtually any signal conditioning electronics designed for strain gaged sensors. The potentiometers employ a hybrid wire wound around conductive plastic, which provides excellent long term stability. The output from the extensometer is readily interfaced with most existing test controllers, and may be directly input to data acquisition systems and chart recorders. Since wood shrinks substantially when dried, it must be dried before being used in construction or most other applications. This is most often done using a large furnace called a kiln. The air drying method may also be used, but this is much slower. A comprehensive analysis of PV modules includes many different parameters. Determining the normal module operating temperature (NMOT), incidence angle effects and comparing soiling effects on different modules up to the initial degradation of PV modules are all parameters that can be analyzed with our outdoor exposure tester. The tester comes with up to twelve electronic loads installed in a 19" rack. The loads have two main functions: maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and IV curve tracing. For the advanced analysis, it is possible to change between these two modes within one test. In the normal operation mode, the electronic load keeps the module under MPP and each predefined interval an IV curve is traced. The entire tester comes with all necessary sensors such as temperature sensor, which can be attached to the module to determine the NMOT temperature like defined in IEC 61215 (MQT 05) and IEC 61853-2. The irradiation sensor is also included. In combination with our tracking system P2, it is also possible to determine incident angle effects of the PV module. It is also possible to connect other irradiation sensors for diffuse and direct irradiation, which helps to understand the behavior of the module in different irradiation conditions. An optional albedo meter is a powerful tool for the analysis of bifacial modules. The entire graphical user interface is web based and offers the possibility to access the system from the all computers in the network.

A geiger counter detects nuclear radiation by measuring the emission of ionizing radiation of alpha particles, beta particles and gamma rays. Also referred to as a radiation detector, a geiger counter consists of two main elements: the processing electronics and the geiger tube. The geiger tube is filled with low-pressure inert gas like helium, argon or neon. If radioactive radiation occurs, the inert gas is ionized. An anode within the geiger tube registers the quantity of ionized particles numerically correlating with the strength of the radioactive radiation. The radioactivity measurement is then displayed on the LCD screen of the geiger counter or radiation detector.It is very important to measure radioactivity as well as to classify radioactivity values. For example, terrestrial gamma radiation is measured according to general values from 0.03 - 0.3 µSv/h (microsievert / hour). This "normal" oscillation range is conditioned by natural radioactive elements in the ground such as uranium and potassium. To calculate this factor, one must take into consideration cosmic radiation.
