The DIO-II module is a multimode digital source and capture unit. In Low Speed Mode it provides a 20-bit parallel or 24-bit serial I/O capability running at speeds up to 50 MHz. In High Speed Mode, the DIO-II provides a 16-bit parallel I/O capability up to 200 MHz. In both Modes, the Clock is generated by a low jitter PLL source that is capable of generating clocks from 320 kHz up to 1 GHz.

The Kratos Ar Gas Cluster Ion Source (GCIS) is optimised for depth profiling organic materials in Arn+ cluster mode and inorganic materials in Ar+ monomer mode, dependent on the operating parameters defined by the user and the type of material to be profiled. In Arn+ ion cluster mode the ions can be accelerated up to a maximum of 20 keV. This enables the successful sputter depth profiling of the widest range of polymer materials to be undertaken. However, Arn+ cluster depth profiling has been shown to give very low sputter yields for inorganic materials. In order to retain the capability of generating depth profiles from this class of materials this ion source can also be operated in the more conventional Ar monomer (Ar+) mode.

These arresters are recommended for use in the Lightning Protection Zones Concept at the boundaries of LPZ 0 – 1 (according to IEC 1312-1 and EN 62305), where they provide the equipotential bonding and discharge of both, the lightning current and the switching surge, which are generated in power supply systems entering the building. The use of the lightning current arresters PIVM12,5-275/3+0 Vseries is mainly in the power supply lines, which are operated as TN-C system.
