RF Training Kit And Lab Sheets

The RF transceiver kit consists of a transmitter unit and a receiver unit in superheterodyne architecture. The transceiver units are made up of various RF building-block modules such as filter, low noise amplifier, power amplifier, mixer and oscillator. The RF transceiver kit is controlled by a Windows-based Control Panel software via USB. A Measurement Automation Program is provided to demonstrate automated characterization and test of RF circuits. A signal generator and a spectrum analyzer are required to run this program.

The training simulator also features the ability to simulate over 28 commonly found metering errors in the field. Paired with the Training Administrator Station (TAS), the bench can be controlled remotely over a closed WIFI network, and each trainee’s performance is recorded and time stamped for every session.

Near Field Probes 30 MHz up to 3 GHz
RF1 set
The RF1 near field probe set consists of 4 passive near field probes for making measurements in the development phase of E-field and magnetic field in the ranges of 30 MHz to 3 GHz on electronic assemblies. The probe heads of the RF1 set allow for measurements close to the electronic assemblies, e.g. on single IC pins, conducting paths, components and their connectors in order to localize interference sources. Field orientation and field distribution on an electronic assembly can be detected through a trained special use of the near field probe. The near field probes are small and handy. They have a sheath current attenuation and are electrically shielded. They can be connected to a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope with a 50 Ω input. They do not have an internal terminating resistance.

The TESCO Training Boards were designed to create different problematic installation scenarios that a meter technician may encounter at an installation. The Training Boards are comprised of three independent meter sockets (Forms 1S, 2S and 12S) on the front of the board (trainee side). The back of the Training Board has three control panels, one for each socket, with switches that will create the different scenarios, in which the trainee must troubleshoot. TESCO Training Boards are the perfect solution for training new employees or to use as a refresher for senior meter technicians.

Unisim
TS-Space Systems is the first company to pioneer the use of metal halide sources in solar simulators for photovoltaic testing. The high temporal stability and close spectral match combined with the ability to control the output spectrum via multiple separate wavebands means the Unisim solar simulator is the only solar research tool designed for the accurate measurement of multiple junction devices, including the new generation of four junction devices. As with all our Unisim solar simulators, they exceed the ASTM, IEC and JIS international standards for spectral match and temporal instability. Using the latest HMI and halogen luminaire technology, the Unisim solar simulator provides a highly stable area of illumination. The simulators also use cutting edge filter technology in order to provide the best spectral match available for AM0 and AM1.5. Further to this, the spectrum can be achieved via two, three or four separate spectral wavebands which allows a high degree of spectral control for research and development. Product support is very important to us. Training is provided at our premises where customers can take advantage of one-on-one tuition with the instrument designers and learn how to operate and maintain their tools. Extensive support via phone and email for the full lifetime of the instrument is included with every TS-Space Systems product.
