Analog Devices’ RS-232/RS-485 multiprotocol transceivers are the only parts in the market that allow protocol switching and allow for switching between half-/full-duplex operation and switching on/off termination resistors, both of which minimize physical user intervention when reconfiguring networks. Features include 3.3 V to 5 V operation, up to ±26 kV ESD, a logic supply pin, and small LFCSP packages. As large-scale computing applications typically require more protocols than the RS-232 and RS-485 protocols found in everyday applications, we support legacy protocols.
