The frequency-controlled plate excitation by means of electric motors determines the maximum oscillation amplitude and then evaluates the axle damping according to the principle of Lehr's damping. The fully automatic test sequence including the determination of the axle and vehicle weight enables a time-saving and reliable assessment of the axle damping.
