The 2975AR contains a rubidium timebase and provide one 10 MHz, one 5 MHz and one Signal Generator output. The Signal Generator uses Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) technology and is programmable from 100Hz to 50 MHz using front panel controls or from an RS232 serial interface. The 2975AR can be disciplined by a 1pps input signal and provides a 1pps output signal. The 1pps input is typically provided by the GPS Frequency output from a device like a smart GPS receiver or antenna. The Positioner HD is a two-axis azimuth over elevation positioner, for precise angular positioning with full spherical coverage. Designed for antenna and RF device measurement, the positioner is built out of low-reflection materials, with additional RF shielding for minimal multipath and improved measurement accuracy. A slip ring is included to allow for continuous 360° rotation in both axes. This system is highly configurable, with options for RF rotary joints, slip rings for data communications, and custom sizing. An external motor controller is included by default with the Positioner HD. This motor controller connects to a computer via USB and includes an easy-to-use graphic interface. Other command options include automated macros, manual control knobs, Python, Matlab, or Labview interfaces, or direct control via ASCII commands. The controller also includes a digital I/O trigger system, for precise synchronization with other devices.

Circulators

The most common application of a circulator is as a duplexer, allowing the transmitter and receiver in a radio or radar unit to share a common antenna. Energy is transferred from the RF Source to the antenna during transmit, and from the antenna to the receiver during the receive cycle. In each case the circulator functions to isolate the inactive port from the propagated signal. Most importantly, the transmitter output is not passed to the receiver input, preventing the high transmitter power from damaging the sensitive receiver input circuits.
