The output voltage or the output current can be read exactly on two separate 3-digit LED displays and the fixed output supplies a voltage of 5 V. The device is protected against damage by overload and short circuit by reliable overvoltage protection and can be placed in a 19 ”rack installed or used as a table device (“stand-alone”).

The protection of the circuit (miniature circuit breaker) must therefore trigger at a lower current than the expected short-circuit current, in order to avoid excessive heating of the lines and thus a fire risk.
