This is the SparkFun "Time-of-Flight" Range Finder, a breakout for the VL6180 distance sensor. Unlike most distance sensors that rely reflected light intensity or reflected angles to determine range, the VL6180 uses a precise clock to measure the time it takes light to bounce back from a surface. This affords the ToF Range Finder and VL6180 a great benefit over other methods because it can be much more accurate and more immune to noise. Does this technology sound familiar? Obstacle Detector is a distance-measuring system based on ultrasonic sound utilizing the LPC2364FBD100. The system transmits a burst of ultrasonic sound waves towards the subject and then receives the corresponding echo. The LPC2364FBD100 integrated analog comparator is used to detect the arrival of the echo to the system. The time taken for the ultrasonic burst to travel the distance from the system to the subject and back to the system is accurately measured by the LPC2364FBD100. Assuming the speed of sound in air at room temperature to be 1100 ft/s, the LPC2364FBD100 computes the distance between the system and the subject and gives the information to buzzer. The minimum distance that this system can measure is eight inches and is limited by the transmitter’s transducer settling-time. The maximum distance that can be measured is 2 meter. The amplitude of the echo depends on the reflecting material, shape, and size. Sound-absorbing targets such as carpets and reflecting surfaces less than two square feet in area reflect poorly. The maximum measurable range is lower for such subjects. If the amplitude of the echo received by the system is so low that it is not detectable by the Comparator. This system is mainly used to replace normal sticks for the visually impaired (blind) peoples. This unit has standard USB 2.0 for mobile interface and has android application for user interface

The HI Pot Device is designed to Hi Pot de-energized 15kV class cables. The tool transforms 18 Volts from the battery to approximately 8,000 volts DC. When the battery is installed and the safety switch is in the closed down position, the unit is in voltage detection mode. The unit should be in this position when installing the device, as it will sound a warning alarm if you approach an energized source. When the safety switch is lifted and the toggle switch is switched up, the unit is in the Hi-Pot mode and the high voltage DC is being applied.

The GeoSwath Plus Sonar Module contains a wide-swath bathymetric sonar suitable for a range of survey and inspection tasks. The GeoSwath Plus is a 500kHz interferometric sonar, or phase detecting bathymetric sonar (PDBS) from Kongsberg GeoAcoustics. Boat-mounted GeoSwath sonars are used worldwide for high accuracy surveys including port and harbour navigation and environmental mapping: the Gavia’s GeoSwath module makes this capability available in a commercial AUV. The GeoSwath Plus offers: wide swath coverage of up to 12 times the AUV altitude when near the seabed; integrated bathymetry with simultaneous true digital side scan; high depth resolution suitable for IHO survey standards; as well as the accuracy and repeatability of a boat-mount hydrographic survey system. Like most of the survey-grade sensors on the Gavia AUV, the GeoSwath data is time-synchronised with the AUV master clock using the vehicle PPS/ZDA system. Benefits of the GeoSwath AUV module include ease of deployment, ease of use, reducing survey time, and the ability to take a 500kHz high-resolution sonar down to targets in 1000m of water. The GeoSwath Plus post-processing software (provided as standard with the system) allows a user to inspect and process the data, create and inspect digital terrain models, and create basic sonar mosaics. Several other commercial post-processing software packages are also available, please ask for details. Note that for best results the GeoSwath Module should be deployed with a direct-reading sound velocity sensor (option) in the Control Module, and one of the high-accuracy INS/DVL Navigation Modules for motion sensing.
