RTD Measurement for CompactPCI
CPCI390
The CPCI390 has a 3U form factor and features six 2-, 3-, or 4-wire high-accuracy RTD measurement channels. Each channel has programmable alarm limits on which an interrupt can be issued. The local DSP (TMS320C203) performs linearization, auto-calibration and alarm limit checking. Sensordata is available in °C, °F, K and Ohm. All inputs are optically isolated from the system.

Bloomy's VDT/Resolver Simulation Module offers eight channels of variable differential transformer (VDT) sensor simulation at an unmatched price point. Its highly-flexible nature allows each channel to be configured independently for simulation of a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT), a rotary variable differential transformer (RVDT), or a resolver. Versatile, separate E1 and E2 returns allow each channel to be connected in a 4-, 5- or 6-wire configuration. The included VeriStand SLSC driver also allows each channel to simulate two 4-wire sensors where shared excitation is acceptable.

16-Channel RTD Signal Conditioning Card
ProDAQ 5821
The ProDAQ 5821 series of Signal Conditioning Cards is designed to interface with a variety of sensors, principally RTDs, Thermistors, Cryogenic Diodes and Voltage type sensors. Each version of the 5821 provides the capability of precise 4-wire measurement. In order to achieve this, a precise 500μA constant current source is provided per channel. The current source can be disabled on a per channel basis and is monitored to ensure that current is flowing. The value of the output current is stored on-board after calibration. In order to achieve the highest accuracy the output current may be automatically calibrated 'on-the-fly' using the ProDAQ 3416 24-bit Sigma-Delta ADC card and an on-board precision resistor.

8 Channels, RTD Measurement
RT1
The module provides 8 measurement channels, and can be programmed for interfacing to 2, 3, and 4-wire platinum RTD sensor configurations. The 4-wire mode (default) is the most accurate, providing excellent stability and repeatability. The RTD channels feature individual A/D converters and precision excitation/current drive. Programmable lead-wire compensation is provided for inherently less accurate 2 and 3-wire configurations. All RTD channels are self-aligning because each channel is automatically "aligned" on a rotating basis to eliminate offset and gain errors throughout the operating envelope. Programmability for expected resistance range and wire modes allows for optimization of scaling/resolution, as well as flexibility in reading many RTD types.
