The 40-872-004 is a 50 Ohm 4 to 1 RF MUX available with 4 banks in a single PXI slot. It exhibits low insertion loss and VSWR through the use of modern RF relay technology at an affordable cost. Each MUX has been carefully designed to ensure excellent and repeatable RF characteristics to frequencies of 3GHz with each path having a nominally equal insertion loss. The injection of noise and unwanted signals into the signal paths of the 40-872 has been minimized by careful attention to the mechanical and electrical design.

Wavelength Division Multiplexers (WDMs) are used to combine or split two different single mode signals with low insertion loss. Thorlabs' WDMs featured on this page are manufactured using Fused Biconic Taper (FBT) technology and are designed for common NIR and telecom wavelengths (see the table to the right for options). They are an ideal solution for combining pump and signal wavelengths in fiber lasers and amplifiers or for combining telecom signals. The CM8 module is a combination of NAI's MIL-STD-1553B module, FTB, and Enhanced Discrete I/O module, DT4. The CM8 offers twelve channels of discrete I/O and two channels of MIL-STD-1553B communications. The twelve discrete I/O channels are programmable as either input (voltage or contact sensing with programmable, on-module pull-up/pull down current sources), or output (current source, sink, or push-pull) up to 500 mA per channel from an applied, external 3-60 VCC source. The discrete I/O channels also provide additional functionality modes such as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) output mode and Pattern Generator output mode. The two MIL-STD-1553B communications channels feature a dual, redundant, balanced-line, physical layer; a (differential) network interface; time division multiplexing; half-duplex command/response protocol; and up to 31 remote terminals (devices).

The 40-617 18-Bank, 3-Channel, 1-Pole Multiplexer Module forms part of the System 40 PXI Programmable Switching system. The Module consists of 18 electrically isolated banks of multiplexers controlled by a PXI/PCI interface. Each bank is a 1 to 3 multiplexer and operates with break-before-make action when a new channel is selected. Any Individual multiplexer bank can have a channel set by itself, alternatively, multiple banks can have channels selected simultaneously. Inter-bank linking relays allow multiplexer size to be increased in multiples of 3 by joining the common terminals of adjacent banks. Closing one linking switch produces a 6 channel multiplexer, closing all linking switches produces an 54 channel multiplexer.
