The Data Patterns DP-VXI-5124 is a VXI 'C' size Carrier Board, which occupies a single slot in the VXI system. The module is a register based device with A16/A24/A32 address space and has interrupter capability. The carrier board's VXI bus interface is used to program and monitor the carrier board registers for configuration and control of the board. The VXI bus interface is also used to communicate with and control the external devices that are connected to an IP modules field I/O signals.

The 3164-2 has two 14-bit Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) channels that operate independently, and the 3164-4 AWG has four channels. The maximumsample rate for each channel is 125 MS/s. All waveforms can be sampled from data previously loaded into waveform memory or loaded and output on the fly.

This single-slot, message-based board features up to 12 stimulus channels of 3-wire LVDT/RVDT, wraparound self-test, and onboard programmable excitation supply. The board is uniquely versatile, as each excitation input and output voltage is programmable. In addition, each channel can be programmed to be controlled by an external DC voltage.
