The 32-CH single-ended analog inputs can be converted to 16-CH differential analog inputs, which improve the noise rejection in harsh industrial environments. The analog inputs are isolated from the PC's system ground. This feature not only protects the PC from being damaged from surges on the signal lines, but also eliminates ground loops and common-mode problems commonly seen in industrial measurement applications. The PCI-9113A provides custom circuit area for input signal conditioning. Either signal attenuation or filtering can be applied on per channel basis. Full band waveguide detectors are GaAs beam lead Schottky diode-based detectors that are specially designed for millimeterwave network analyzer applications. With a proprietary circuitry design and careful diode selection, these zero-biased detectors exhibit high sensitivity and extremely flat output characteristics. The below standard offering covers the frequency range of 18 to 170 GHz and offers a 1 MHz video bandwidth and 1 MΩ video output impedance. The standard models also have the capacity to handle a maximum RF input power of up to +17 dBm. The HMC7748 is a multistage power amplifier (PA) that provides 25 W of saturated output power across the band of 2 GHz to 6 GHz. It draws 0.7 A from a 12 V supply and up to 4 A from a 28 V supply. Input signals of as much as −8 dBm are acceptable, and the module has small signal gain of 60 dB. The 12 V supply is regulated internally and generates the negative voltage required for the gate bias. Built-in bias sequencing prevents the drain voltages for the amplifier stages from being applied without the negative voltage present, which protects the amplifiers if 28 V is applied without 12 V supply applied.
