The F10A is a general purpose broadband linear amplifier having a fixed amplification of 10 times and capable of bipolar high voltage output of ±100V. It is comprised of two separate enclosures each with dimensions of (78” H x 38” W x 26” D) which are integrated together to form a single enclosure. Each half enclosure has one 6 pulse transformer and one 6 pulse high voltage rectifier. Weight: Approx. 5000 lbs. SCR Controller: The 12 pulse SCR controller is supplied by the customer. We were responsible for the 12 pulses Transformer and 12 pulses Rectifier section. Portability: Unit can be lifted up with a fork lift. It can also be moved around with a 5000 lb pallet jack. Transformer: Two 200 KVA transformers are used to step 480 VAC to 3750 VAC each in a 12 pulse configuration Rectifiers: Two 6 pulse rectifier assemblies capable for 5000 VDC and 60 Amps output were used. The high voltage rectifier assemblies are isolated and protected in a fiberglass plenum within the enclosure. Blocking Diode: Each diode of the 6 pulse rectifier consists of 10 diodes in series to offer a blocking voltage of 12000 V (PIV)

HXV products are high voltage systems intened for Hi-pot / IR or High voltage switching. They can be configured to drive from 32 to 128 switch points per chassis and can be configured as multiplexer (1xN) or Matrix (NxM) configurations. Stand HXV chassis are used for signals up to 5000 VAC rms ( 7400 V peak ) and can carry up to 5 amps of current. Custom systems can be built up to 25KV. Most of the modules used in these systems are 1xN multiplexers or 2x4 matrix modules that can be combined to form larger multiplexers or matrices. Connector options for standard HXV include 5 way banaba jacks / binding posts, Shrouded Banana Jacks or SHV ( High voltage BNC) if you need to use a high voltage cable with a grounded shield for safety applications. Control options include 10/100BaseT Ethernet LAN, RS232, GPIB or optional manual control. Standard HXV systems use high voltage reed relays. Custom HXV systems up to 25KV use application specific relays and connectors from a variety of vendors based on required specifications.

Short Light Source

The short light source is compatible with the LM-101 or the LMC-20. The light is supplied with a 50 watt tungsten halogen convection cooled light source which provides suffcient energy for use with narrow band pass filters or monochronomators in the wave length range of .35 to 2.5 microns. The light beam is chopped at 200 hz by a quiet, vibration free, synchronous motor. The housing also contains a secondary LED light source and detector for synchronization of the amplifier, plus an electro-mechanical shutter to block the light output when the instrument is zeroed. An internal collimating lens produces a narrow beam (<1") so the LM-AS can be used in bell-jar and large coating systems.

While it is possible to obtain high quality injection transformers with bandwidths as wide as 1Hz to 5MHz or more, in some cases this is still insufficient for some tests. For example a typical heater control loop might have a bandwidth of less than 1Hz while some linear regulators and opamp circuits can have bandwidths of up to 100MHz or in some cases even higher. For these applications, a solid state injector can provide the necessary bandwidth. A solid state injector can perform at DC, while the upper frequency limit is dictated by the components selected and the printed circuit board material and layout. It is possible to obtain a solid state injector with a working range of DC – 200MHz, though above 50MHz the interconnection between the injector and the circuit being tested can become quite critical. It is essential that ripple from the injector power supply does not dramatically degrade the dynamic range or the signal to noise ratio of the measurement. The resulting plots are often much cleaner when using a solid state injector than with a transformer injector.
