The RsP-590 Pyroelectric Probe requires no cooling and maintains ±1% accuracy from 1 µW to 100 mW. The ECPR uses an auto-nulling, electrical substitution technique that allows the instrument to be referenced against NIST electrical standards, insuring maximum accuracy and precision. Unlike most electrically calibrated radiometers, there is a direct correlation between electrical and optical heating because the same material serves as both the optical absorber and electrical heating element.

In general, inductive proximity switches consist of four basic elements: a coil, an oscillator, a threshold switch and an output stage with short-circuit protection.The oscillator generates a high frequency, electromagnetic alternating field which is emitted from the active face of the coil.Eddy currents are induced in a metal object that enters this field. These eddy currents draw energy from both the electromagnetic field and from the oscillator which is consequently attenuated.The more energy taken the closer the metal object moves towards the active face. The threshold switch switches on the output stage at a defined attenuation value.In proximity switches with a DC voltage supply, this switch is designed as an NPN transistor which switches the connected load to the negative pole or as a PNP transistor which switches the load to the positive pole. The output stage is a thyristor or a triac in AC voltage switches.

Three-component quartz force ring sensors are capable of simultaneously measuring dynamic force in three orthogonal directions (X, Y, and Z). They contain three sets of quartz plates that are stacked in a preloaded arrangement. Each set responds to the vector component of an applied force acting along its sensitive axis. 3-component ring force sensors must be statically preloaded for optimum performance. Preloading provides the sensing elements with the compressive loading required to allow the proper transmission of shear forces. Versions are available with ranges up to 10k lb (45k N) in the z-axis (perpendicular to the top surface), and up to 4000 lb (18k N) in the x-and y (shear) axes. The input signal of the Vibration meter software, which is the output signal of the accelerometer, i.e. the vibrational acceleration signal, is filtered by means of one of four possible digital band filters. Then, based on this signal, vibrational velocity and displacement signals are calculated by means of integrating filters. Thus, the software generates three signals which are transferred to the ZETLAB data server virtual channels created by the program and having the word “Acceleration”, “Speed” or “Displacement” in their names, respectively.Signals are averaged for a selected time interval (0.1 s, 1 s, or 10 s), after which the obtained values are displayed in the dialog box elements of the Vibration meter program.
