  • Thickness Gauges

    UMX-2 - Dakota Ultrasonics

UMX-2 underwater material and coating thickness gauge, designed for offshore inspections, and rated to a depth of 1000 feet (300 meters). The UMX-2 is very versatile, offering both Dual & Single element transducers. Equipped with multiple measurement mode options, the UMX-2 will meet all your application requirements. Onboard 5,000 point data logger, all UMX-2 settings stored for each measurement, along with an actual A-Scan waveform.

  • Boat Mount with Pan & Tilt 2D Forward Looking Sonar

    Teledyne Marine BlueView

Deployed from a patrol boat, Teledyne BlueView's BV3100 is ideal for search and recovery operations, dive team situational awareness, and diver vectoring. It is also an effective means of harbor bottom inspection as well as diver and underwater IED detection. The BV3100 uses Teledyne BlueView's 2D forward looking sonar mounted to a digital pan and tilt system to deliver clear, streaming imagery during both confined and wide area searches. This real-time imagery is produced whether moving or stationary, even in zero visibility water conditions. The BV3100 can be used alone or as a complement to side scan sonar by allowing the user to reacquire and guide divers to targets found in side scan imagery.

  • Vacuum Leak Test Systems

    Cincinnati Test Systems

Vacuum leak testing is the principal leak test method for testing parts that could have leakage from an external source into their housings and casings. Parts like underwater sensors or housings, outdoor electrical housings, sealed components, and components associated with vacuum sources are all prime candidates for vacuum leak testing. Operation of instruments that supply vacuum to test parts instead of pressure works in a similar, yet essentially opposite, manner as pressure decay testing.

  • FlowQuest Acoustic Current Profilers

    LinkQuest Inc.

FlowQuest is a line of Acoustic Current Profilers manufactured by LinkQuest Inc., a company renown for its innovation, capability and product quality. The FlowQuest current profilers are ideal for measuring currents and flows in oceans, harbors, lakes and rivers. With its capability for significantly longer range, standard deepwater depth rating and seamless integration with third-party sensors and LinkQuest acoustic modems, the FlowQuest system is not just a current profiler. It also serves as a focal point for your underwater deployments.

  • Multibeam Echosounder - Subsea

    SeaBat T20-S - Teledyne Marine RESON B.V.

The T20-S is a new addition to the leading SeaBat product range engineered from the ground up to evolve with your business.Combined with the all-new Subsea Sonar Processor the T20-S provides the highest quality survey data in a fully integrated sonar processing and data storage unit housed in a subsea pressure vessel. Smaller form factor and reduced operational power to extend mission time for battery powered underwater vehicles. Internal data storage for self-contained survey solution, and interfacing via standard Ethernet to reduce integration time.

  • Lightweight Hammershock Testing

    National Technical Systems

Lightweight Shock Machine (LWSM) Testing per MIL-DTL-901E is the military specification covering shock test requirements for shipboard machinery, equipment, systems and structures. Anyone who produces an item for military use in any of these shipboard categories will likely need to complete this testing. The purpose of this testing is to verify the ability of shipboard installations to withstand shock loadings which may be incurred during wartime service due to the effects of conventional or nuclear weapons. These requirements grew out of the Navy’s experiences during World War II and the subsequent underwater explosion (UNDEX) experiments. In many cases, it was found that critical ship systems could be disabled by the shock effects of nearby weapons explosions that were not a direct hit on the ship itself.

  • PXIe-4480, 1.25 MS/s, 3.4 Hz AC/DC-Coupled, 6-Input PXI Sound and Vibration Module

    784277-01 - NI

1.25 MS/s, 3.4 Hz AC/DC-Coupled, 6-Input PXI Sound and Vibration Module—The PXIe‑4480 is designed for high-bandwidth audio, acoustic, and vibration measurements. It provides six channels of dynamic signal acquisition, and you can use one of four gain settings to configure your input range. The PXIe‑4480 also includes software-configurable AC/DC coupling, charge measurement, voltage excitation, IEPE excitation, and TEDS support, making it ideal for measuring acoustic transducers, pressure sensors, and hydrophones. Common applications include audio test; noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) analysis; and underwater acoustic measurements. For measuring sudden changes, such as high speed blast and pressure events, the PXIe-4480 can sample up to 20 MS/s per channel in time-domain mode.

  • Harness Design and Manufacture

    Teledyne Marine Impulse-PDM

When designing an underwater cable harness, there are some factors which need to be considered, and we have produced the following list as a guide for customer information:Component considerations:- Electrical requirements- Mechanical considerations- Quality requirements- Reliability- Design redundancy (contact count)- Connector selection (type and form)- Locking requirements- Backpotting requirements- Waterblocking in moldings- Cable specification- Cable jacket material and compatibility with elastomers- Abrasion resistance- Stiffness profile at termination- Connector format (straight or right angle)- Molding format (straight or at an angle)- Clearance allowance for molding and cable routing- Elastomer compatibility (eg oil filled units)- Metalwork selection re: corrosion and cathodic delamination- Surface finish for metalwork as appropriateOperational considerations:- Operating depth profile (not just max. depth)- Tensile loads- Torsional loads- Bending loads- Bend control requirements (to limit bending at termination)- Deployment and recovery loads- Dynamic loading-Flow turbulence effects.
