As a USB peripheral, UFO is the good choice of OTDR to integrate with remote optical monitoring systems. The OTDR unit is designed as a green PC peripheral compatible with Windows 98, 2000 or above. The application program (AP) sends OTDR command from the computer to the unit and gets data back through USB connection. The USB OTDR gets power from the USB port and an internal rechargeable Li-ion battery.
