This is the industry’s first PCB-design-specific vibration and acceleration simulation solution targeting products where harsh environments can compromise product performance and reliability, including the military, aerospace, automotive and industrial markets. Traditional, physical HALT (highly accelerated lifecycle testing) is conducted just before volume manufacturing, and requires expert technicians, which can result in costly schedule delays. Bridging mechanical and electronic design disciplines, the Xpedition product provides vibration simulation significantly faster than any existing method. This results in increased test coverage and shortened design cycles to ensure product reliability and faster time to market. The Xpedition component modeling library is the most extensive in the industry, comprised of over 4,000 unique 3D solid models which are used to create highly defined parts for simulation. The 3D library allows users to easily match geometries to their 2D cell database. Designers can assemble the parts models on board and automatically mesh them for performance analysis, including stiffeners and mechanical parts. The system modeling tool is ultra-fast since it can model over 1,000 components per minute.

Temperature and humidity outdoor, indoor probe

Programmable temperature and humidity transmitter is equipped with temperature and relative humidity sensors. Measured values are also converted to other humidity interpretation - dew point temperature, absolute humidity, specific humidity, mixing ratio or specific enthalpy. Degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit are user selectable. Transmitter contains a microprocessor based control circuitry in a durable plastic case with connection terminals and sensors in a filter with stainless steel mesh. Humidity transmitters is equipped with two galvanic isolated 4-20mA outputs. Configuration of outputs and output range are user adjustable. Large dual line LCD for simultaneous display of T+RH or other humidity interpretation is an advantage. Display is possible to switch off. Computerized design ensures temperature compensation of the humidity sensor and fail indication. State-of-the-art capacitive polymer sensor ensures excellent calibration long term stability, inertia against water and condensation. Transmitters are designed for use in non-aggressive environment.

WIPL-D Pro
WIPL-D kernel is unique in many ways, allowing the most efficient full wave EM simulations. It is based on the Method of Moments (MoM) but applied to quadrilateral mesh elements. In addition, the basis functions are HOBFs (Higher Order Basis Functions) which means up to 2 lambdas large mesh elements. The electrical size of problems is expressed in number of unknowns, rather than in mesh elements. The quad mesh offers two times less unknowns than the traditional triangular one, while using HOBFs reduces number of unknowns several times.

NITOS Wireless Sensor Platform
The NITOS prototype wireless sensor mote, is comprised of open-source and configurable modules. NITOS mote features the ATmega32u4 microcontroller running at 8MHz and operating at 3.3V. The aforementioned microcontroller is fully compatible with the Arduino platform that enables ease of software development and provides compatibility with several commercial sensing modules. Moreover, the platform is equipped with an Xbee radio interface that enables communication with the respective gateway. The Xbee module is a tiny device ideal for setting up mesh networks and has a defined rate of 250 kbps. This module uses the IEEE 802.15.4 stack which is the basis for theZigbee protocol. Apart from the Xbee module, NITOS mote can also feature a WiFi wireless interface in order to communicate with WiFi gateways. The developed mote currently features specific sensing modules, an air temperature and humidity sensor, a light intensity sensor and a human presencesensor. Various types of sensing modules and actuators can be further integrated exploiting existing Arduino software that implements several existing communications protocols. The firmware can be easily uploaded through the on-board USB connection. Figure 1 illustrates the developed NITOS mote and the respective gateway node.
