Environmental Simulation Testing
Eurofins E&E (MET Laboratories, Inc.)
MET's Environmental Simulation Labs, on both coasts, employ numerous environmental chambers, including several large walk-in chambers. Hydraulic and electro-dynamic shakers are used for a wide range of vibration testing, from ISTA packaging to seismic compliance testing. MET's hydraulic vibration systems are capable of full level (Zone 4) seismic simulation.

Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)
-
Quickly validate reliability and identify manufacturing defects that could cause product failures in the field with MET’s Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT)HALT technique uses a combination of accelerated stresses to expose product flaws early in the design and manufacturing stages, which improves product reliability and customer confidence inherent to the design and fabrication process of a new product as well as during the production phase to find manufacturing defects that could cause product failures in the field.

Ingress Protection
-
Ingress Protection testing evaluates the resistance to particle and liquid entry for an enclosed product. After testing has been performed, the product receives an IP rating, based on IEC 60529, according to the achieved resistance to solid particles and liquids.

Package Testing
-
Package testing helps manufacturers verify their package designs to ensure that their products will not experience damage during shipping. Products are often shipped across states, countries and continents to reach their destination. This is an unavoidable link in the supply chain and, as such, packaging must be designed to protect products during the shipping process.

Shock and Vibration Testing
-
Manufacturers, OEMs, and suppliers must perform shock and vibration testing to protect equipment and users from potentially dangerous product or component failures by properly testing products before market entry. Not only does testing prove compliance, but it also helps eliminate early generation failures by ensuring performance before sales in markets, extending a product’s market shelf-life, and increasing a manufacturer’s bottom line.
