PAS 9883/GEN - Precision Analog Systems Co. (Precision)

The PAS 9883/GEN is a VME based, eight channel function generator card. Each channel contains a Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) chip that can be programmed to generate sine wave output signals. This DDS device is a Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO), employing a phase accumulator, a sine look-up table and a 10 bit D/A converter.

The PAS 9715/AO provides thirty-two, twelve bit analog voltage output channels on a 6U VMEbus card. VME systems with A16, A24, or A32 addressing are supported, and data writes of 16 or 32 bits can be used. Pluggable jumpers are used to configure the width of the address bus and the data bus width is specified by the instruction type.

The PAS 9716/AO provides sixteen channels of sixteen-bit Analog Output. The card can be used in VME systems with A16, A24, or A32 addressing, and data writes of 16 and 32 bits are supported. DIP switches are used to configure the width of the address bus. The data bus width is specified by the instruction. Highspeed voltage output DAC’s, with 6 uSec typical settling times are used on this card .The DAC output signals are available on a 37 pin D connector mounted through the front panel. Two digital output signals are also provided on the output connector.

The total power dissipated by the amplifiers must be considered for each application to determine if the amplifier will drive the load.
