NAI’s 73SD4 is a DSP-based, PC104-compliant Synchro/Resolver Measurement Board with six separate, isolated channels. These channels can incorporate up to six Synchro/Resolver-to-Digital Tracking Converters in a stack-through module. Each channel also produces differential incremental encoder (A & B) outputs (with programmable resolution) and a zero-degree marker pulse. Commutation outputs are available for 4-, 6-, or 8-pole brushless DC motors that eliminate the need for Hall Effect sensors, thereby reducing both processor time and bus traffic.

The DT4 module (the enhanced version) features 24 programmable channels for either input (voltage or contact sensing with programmable, on-module pull-up/pull down current sources), or output (current source, sink, or push-pull) up to 500 mA per channel from an applied, external 3 – 60 VCC source. NAI's 5330A Synchro/Resolver Simulator is a rack-mount or bench-top instrument featuring integrated touch-screen controls and input terminals. This model represents a major step forward as it uses digital technology to produce Synchro and Resolver outputs. Improved flexibility is provided by two fully independent outputs that can be used to simulate two separate Synchro or Resolver signals simultaneously, or can be combined to operate as two-speed outputs. The versatility of this device has been substantially increased by incorporating dynamic modes that enable servo systems to be tested under various simulated stringent field conditions.
