MD-150
The 150 series 2WD dynamometer is a compact offering that let’s you tune street cars without a large dedicated space. The 150 portable includes a pallet jack modification on one end of the frame and two bottle jacks on the other allow you to move this dyno in your shop. The portability kit lets you free up space as needed. The portable 150 is ideal for smaller shops, schools and outdoor events. There is no need to secure the unit to the ground – simply lower the unit onto the ground, hook up the light-weight composite ramps and start testing. Performance Dynamometer
The MD-250-HD was designed to be a performance dynamometer first, with the added benefit of being able to test 2-wheel-drive heavy-duty vehicles such as truck, buses and commercial vehicles. MD-250-M
Mustang has developed a low-cost, simple to use, easy-to-install heavy duty chassis dynamometer that can be used to simulate real-world driving conditions in a safe, controlled environment and can also be used for “static” diesel smog testing for regulatory purposes. This model is used in Diesel Smog Programs in Nevada and Colorado when combined with an approved opacity meter. The MD-250-M is a compact dynamometer with industry proven design features including 10.7-inch rollers, heavy duty spherical pillow-block ball bearings, welded structural steel frame, 7.5 hp calibration motor, and an industry standard air-cooled, Eddy Current Power Absorption Unit (PAU) for road-load simulation. The MD-250-M is available in both right and left hand configurations to accommodate different facility designs.

The 100 series offers the small shop owner the right equipment for road testing and power checking of today’s modern automobiles and pick up trucks. The 100 is offered at an attractive price and with features that meet the needs of repair professionals more concerned with repairs than performance tuning. The AWD-1750 is the newest AWD dynamometer built by Mustang. It has a set of 50" rollers that are mechanically linked to another 3 or 4 sets of 12.625" rollers. An air clutch allows you to switch between 2WD and AWD modes by clicking a button. No moving parts to handle different wheelbases.

At the heart of the MD-7500 is a set of three air-cooled eddy current power absorbers. Each absorber, or brake, can hold up to 600-hp (total power of 1,800-hp) more than enough to simulate a fully loaded transit bus. As the systems PAU''s (brakes) are air-cooled, no water is required to or from the device eliminating the high cost of water consumption and/or the cost of an expensive water recovery system which can sometimes exceed the cost of the dynamometer system itself. Mustang is the only company that offers a Universal Fleet Test Bed without water supply requirements.

Full time AWD vehicles are designed to provide maximum performance regardless of road conditions. In cases where traction is less than ideal, a vehicle may be designed to improve stability and traction at the expense of power. This means adding torque to a spinning wheel or retarding of timing. In order to properly test an AWD vehicle for peak performance, an AWD chassis dynamometer must be able to simulate ideal road-load conditions to the vehicle.
