Transformer Turns Ratio Testers
-
Transformer turns ratio testers from TRT series are DV Power instruments mainly designed for the measurement of power transformer turns ratio. Also, they measure transformer excitation current and phase shift. Special tests, such as automatic vector group detection and magnetic balance, can be performed on three-phase transformers and three-phase autotransformers. All models, except TRT03 series, have a built-in true three-phase power source, which is necessary for testing turns ratio of transformers with special configurations, such as phase-shifting, rectifier, arc-furnace, traction transformers, etc.DV Power turns ratio testers can output various test voltages for different applications. From the extremely low test voltage of 1 V AC that enables turns ratio verification of the majority of current transformers, up to the highest test voltage of 500 V AC that provides the most accurate turns ratio testing of power transformers used in power generation and transmission. By using the external booster, test voltage increases up to 5 kV AC in order to successfully test capacitive voltage transformers. All DV Power turns ratio testers have a built-in tap changer control unit. Because of that, it is possible to control the on-load tap changer (OLTC) directly from the device. In order to make the most out of this feature, the instrument and included DV-Win software can be programmed to do everything automatically – running turns ratio tests, changing OLTC tap positions, and saving results. This option significantly facilitates and shortens the turns ratio testing time.TRT turns ratio testers use the same set of cables as three-phase winding ohmmeter & tap changer analyzers from the TWA series. Consequently, it enables one-time cable setup for performing eight tests:turns ratioexcitation currentphase anglemagnetic balancevector group detectionwinding resistanceon-load tap changer DVtestand demagnetization.

Micro-Ohmmeters
RMO-G Series
-
The RMO-G is a portable micro-ohmmeter designed for contact resistance measurement of non-inductive test objects and applications with increased safety requirement. It tests medium and high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, and different high-current links. Due to its Both Sides Grounded and Remote Control functionalities, the instrument accurately measures even in the most demanding environments, providing additional safety to testing personnel. The RMO800G is the most powerful portable micro-ohmmeter on the market with 800 A output current. RMO200G is our best seller in the USA. A user can choose the appropriate model depending on the output current requirement, from 100 A (RMO100G) to 800 A (RMO800G).We use an unbreakable plastic case with IP67 protective rating (with closed lid) for instruments’ housing. Although very portable and lightweight, RMO-G micro-ohmmeters have very high output power capabilities. High output voltage enables a wider measurement range at higher test currents. Consequently, it enables the usage of thinner/longer test cables. RMO-G generates a true DC ripple-free (less than 1 % ripple) current with automatically regulated test ramps. During the testing, it increases current before measuring and decreases current after the measurement. This significantly decreases magnetic transients and ensures great accuracy.Special current clamps measure a current through groundings when the instrument tests in Both Sides Grounded conditions. The instrument itself powers these clamps. If even higher safety level is required, the Remote Control feature enables the operator to perform measurements from distant locations.RMO-G instruments can store up to 500 measurements in internal memory. Also, they have a built-in thermal printer and USB flash drive available as an option. An additional option is the built-in High Precision module suitable for measurement of very low resistance, in the range from 1 to 30 µΩ, with 0,01 µΩ resolution. Our free DV Win software communicates with the RMO-G micro-ohmmeters via USB or RS232 interface. Electrical Safety Test Equipment
-
Making a product “safe” requires an understanding of “hazards” that exist in each electrical product. Electrical shock is one of the four fundamental hazards. Because of that, it must be a part of any product electrical safety evaluation. Even though a product requires an electrical power source and uses electrical or electronic components, it should not present an electrical shock hazard to the user.Ground bond or earth continuity testing prevents electrical shock hazards. Similarly to a fault to earth, test instruments generate a high current. The standard requires that the resistance between protective earth and any conductive surface on the equipment does not exceed 0,1 Ohm. The test is performed by applying a DC current between the conductive surface and protective earth. By measuring the voltage drop, it calculates the resistance.RMO-E instruments are ideal for testing the protective bonding (grounding) of equipment following the standard IEC 61010-1. Applying current up to the value of 100 A and the ability to provide in the Contin menu (continuous operation) test current for the pre-set test duration (equal or exceeding 1 min) gives a user a possibility to easily check the protective bonding/grounding of the equipment. The full load voltage of 12 V assures proper measurement and accurate result. Finally, an instrument displays pass/fail classification according to user-preset parameters.
