Humidity And Temperature PROfilers
RPG's profiling radiometers are mainly used to derive vertical profiles of atmospheric temperature and humidity (RPG-HATPRO). The infrared radiometer extension allows to cloud base height and ice cloud detection.The radiometer series covers high-resolution temperature profiling of the boundary layer and low-humidity applications. All models of the series provide accurate total amounts of atmospheric water vapor and cloud liquid cloud. RPG radiometers are stand-alone systems for automated weather-station use under nearly all environmental conditions. A variety of retrieval algorithms (custom designed and global standard algorithms) can be selected.

An isotropic electric field probe with shaped frequency response meeting the ICNIRP or FCC RF safety standards for occupational and general public exposure limits (see the specified frequency ranges below). Meter readings are shown in % of the STD – standard reference level, eliminating the need to know the source frequency. Varactor tuned Gunn oscillators utilize high performance GaAs Gunn diodes and various cavity configurations to deliver moderate output power with low AM/FM noise and harmonic emissions. The oscillators are specially designed for a broader tuning bandwidth and an electrical tuning capability. The standard offering covers the frequency range of 8.2 to 110 GHz and features a self-locking set screw for fine frequency setting. DP-VME-2115 is an industrial standard 24 channel D/A (Digital to Analog) board. It incorporates most of the features which are demanded in industrial applications. Each Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) is provided with a separate reference voltage selection either from internally generated reference or from the external input. This external input reference signal is passed into the protection circuits before it is fed to any active components. The input protection circuit is designed for ± 25Vp-p input ranges. The DAC output may be unipolar or bipolar and the output is jumper selectable, which is routed to the VME P2 connector, with short circuit protection of upto 30mA.
