New Imaging Technologies
Our SWIR or Short-Wave Infrared imaging covers the wavelength range from 900nm to 1700nm. A large number of applications that are difficult or impossible to perform using visible light are made possible, with great results, using short-wave infrared (SWIR) imaging thus enabling the user to "See Beyond the Visible". SWIR is similar to visible light in that photons are reflected or absorbed by an object, providing the strong contrast needed for higher resolution imaging– unlike thermal images, that rely on radiated photons. At NIT, we offer unique SWIR cameras and sensors, see below for more information on our products.

Appointech, Inc.
light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a pn junction diode, which emits light when activated. When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons.

DeltaPro -
HORIBA, Ltd.
The DeltaPro has taken the complexity of time correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) and made it simple and affordable. Any lab can exploit the power of fluorescence dynamics using TCSPC. This system enables the seamless measurement of luminescence lifetimes from picoseconds to 1 second, using our DeltaHub timing electronics.

STMicroelectronics
Unlike other proximity sensors that use simple IR (Infra-Red) technology, which only measure signal strength and can be affected by the object’s reflectivity, FlightSense™ sensors directly measure distance to the object based on the time for emitted photons to be reflected, enabling accurate distance ranging regardless of the object’s surface characteristics.

Exosens Group
Photonis designed the Micro Pore Optics detector to be used in X-Ray imaging applications. Its perfectly square, flat channels are optimized to allow X-Ray and UV photons to be focused or collimated due to the total external reflection at a grazing angle (<2°). Micro Pore Optics are installed on a number of international space missions.

Biophotonics Solutions Inc.
The Microscope Detection Unit (MDU) is designed to facilitate femtosecond pulse compression and measurement directly at the focal plane of a microscope, inverted or upright. It contains a nonlinear crystal for second harmonic generation (SHG) as well as other optical elements to separate SHG photons from the laser light and to couple the SHG light into a compact spectrometer via SMA-connected fiber.
