  • Light

    Thorlabs, Inc.

Welcome to Thorlabs; below you will find links to light emitters, sources, and controllers, a subset of our entire line of photonics products. Our light sources are conveniently separated into coherent and incoherent sources. The coherent source category includes laser diodes, laser diode modules, tunable lasers, HeNe lasers, and femtosecond lasers, while the incoherent source link brings you to a selection of LEDs, white light, and broadband SLD sources. The Quantum Electronics category includes optical amplifiers, modulators, and gain elements that are frequently used in research and OEM applications. All of our light sources and optical amplifiers are supported by an extensive line of mounts, sockets, TEC controllers, and current controllers.

  • Schottky Barrier Bridge Quads

    Naprotek, LLC.

SemiGen’s Silicon Schottky Diodes are designed for applications through 40Ghz. The special process technology utilizes various metal schemes to provide excellent performance of Low, Medium, and High Barrier applications. The end result is a low resistance diode with tightly controlled capacitance which allows for optimum performance. Low conversation loss and superior TSS make these diodes ideal for detector / mixer applications with frequency ranges from S band to Ka band as well as modulators, lower power limiters and high speed switches.

  • PNA-X Network Analyzers

    Keysight Technologies

Keysight's PNA-X is more than just a vector network analyzer. It is the world’s most integrated and flexible microwave test engine for measuring amplifiers, mixers, frequency converters, and other active devices. The hardware includes two internal signal sources, a signal combiner, S-parameter and noise receivers, pulse modulators and generators, and a flexible set of switches and RF access points. These hardware features provide a powerful core for a broad range of linear and nonlinear measurements, all with a single set of connections to your device under test.

  • 14-bit 16 Concurrent Channel 65MSPS A/D board

    AD14-65Mx16AVE - Ultraview Corporation

14-bit 16-concurrent channel 65MSPS A/D board for demanding large-system uses, where signals on multiple time-aligned channels need to be observed with high SNR, such as RADAR, nuclear instrumentation, ultrasound, medical imaging, spectroscopy, communications systems, RF component and antenna testing and other critical applications. An on-board low-jitter LMX2581-based RF synthesizer allows any A/D sampling rate between 20MSPS and 65MSPS to be specified in software. A second on-board LMX2581 with synchronized reference can be optionally used to output four stimulus clocks on SMA connectors that can be vectored to any combination of 4 external transmitters, microwave pulse generators, laser modulators, and other devices.

  • voltage controlled crystal oscillator

    VCXO - Epson Toyocom

A VCXO (Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator) is a crystal oscillator the output frequency of which is controlled by adding an external control voltage via a frequency control input on a variable capacitance component such as a varactor diode connected in parallel to a load capacitance (CL). Epson VCXOs are divided into two types according to Voltage-Frequency (V-F) characteristic slopes depending on the AFC (Automatic Frequency Control) input configuration of the VCXO. One is a VCXO with a positive V-F slope and the other is a VCXO with a negative V-F slope. Please note that the input voltage of a control circuit will vary according to the individual type, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4. Epson's VCXOs are capable of either, depending on the customer's preference. Epson's VCXOs have been increasingly used for broader applications such as slave oscillators in phased-lock loops, or frequency modulators. Among the above types, a VCXO combined with a TCXO is called a VC-TCXO , respectively. These components have the merit of delicately controlling their output frequency electrically.

  • 10 GHz Signal Source

    YIG Series - SignalCore, Inc.

The SC5503B and SC5502A are designed to meet demanding low phase noise applications. This is accomplished by employing a multiple phase-locked loop architecture as well as a YIG oscillator as the heart of its synthesizer. Frequency accuracy is provided by an onboard 10 MHz temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) which can be phase locked to an external reference source if required. These modules can be used as standalone CW signal sources or as LO sources for frequency conversion systems such as the SignalCore IQ modulators and demodulators. They are designed to meet the requirements of many modern applications such as wireless device testing, software-defined radio research, point-to-point radio, multi-channel coherent systems, and other academic and military programs.

  • Optics

    Thorlabs, Inc.

Welcome to Thorlabs; below you will find links to optical components and systems, a subset of our entire line of photonics products. All single element optical components can be found under the optical elements link with the exception of optical components that have polarization properties since they have a separate link. Multi-element systems like beam expanders and objective lenses as well as interferometers, fiber collimators, reference cells, modulators, and other optical devices can be found by choosing the optical systems link. Thorlabs also manufactures an extensive line of free-space and fiber optic isolators; stock items ship the same day that they are ordered while our custom orders benefit from our streamlined design and manufacturing process, which minimizes lead time.

  • IQ Mixers

    Fairview Microwave Inc.

The new MMIC IQ mixers from Fairview (also known as IQ modulators) utilize a highly reliable GaAs MESFET semiconductor process which integrates a pair of matched double balanced mixer cells, a 90-degree hybrid and a 0-degree splitter/combiner that produces exceptional amplitude and phase balance performance. This level of integration offers size and performance advantages in comparison to discrete module assemblies. With the addition of an external 90-degree IF hybrid module, these IQ mixers can be used as either a Single Sideband Up-converter Mixer or an Image Reject Down-converter Mixer. The benefit of image rejection and sideband suppression can reduce overall system cost and complexity by removing the need for pre-selection filtering. Typical applications include point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radio, VSAT, military radar, electronic warfare, satellite communications, test equipment, and sensors.
